My heart just breaks thinking about WIllie being the very last GREAT and REAL country music legend alive. What Nashville has done to country music is an absolute tragedy.

Today's country talent doesn't even come close to just these two amazing artist.

You know what's crazy?? My father is the soldier taking the shot in this music video. John Danny Martinez. Willie smoked a joint with him in his dressing room. My dad was the best Tejano music DJ in Austin Texas in the early 90s..Willie knew his manager and qas asked to be the lead extra...anyways #Willienelson that was my daddy. He passed now but great memories Thanks boss

It will be a sad, sad, sad day when Willie passes on. It’s hard to imagine a world without Willie, his songs and his voice. He’s pretty much outlived the best of the best. But unlike most of them he never had to have a career resurgence. He stands the test of time.

Here's to Willie! All you beat up old gunslingers: If you're nervous? Stage fright? Bad stuff in your life? Just listen, compadres. Happy 90th, Willie. You will forever live in our hearts.

Merle is such an underrated guitarist too.

Just me but these two could pass for brothers? So want a Merle hat, may he RIP, like Ole Willie, no drama queens, theaterarics, just gets the job done, making it look so easy., like a couple of old troopers. Willie in particular seems to be the country music edition, answer to Dean Martin. Two guys that aged well in their music. No small feat. Priceless performance.
