Support Farm Aid: www.farmaid.org/ Willie Nelson & Neil Young Are There Any More Real Cowboys? Willie Nelson 90 - Night One Hollywood Bowl Los Angeles. CA 4-29-23
Neil Young is going to be 78 this year so he's a bit younger than Willie at 90 but for his age he has good lungs to still be able to play the harmonica like that. Man, that show must have been a blast.
@@louisbowles726 Hey man, you don't have to rub it in, lol. Can't blame you for feeling that way, I wish I would have been there too. Congrats my friend.
Look at that wonderful old guitar! You can see Willie's entire life in that bruised and battered instrument and on Neil Young's too. There is something very special in the "Mana" in old instruments.
Neil's guitar is the same guitar Hank Williams played. He's played it for 30 years and even wrote a song, This Old Guitar, about it. The country music history on that stage, the men and their historic guitars, is ridiculously amazing!!
Waylon was pissed at Willie in his last days. Their relationship was a rocky one. I believe they had a love and mutual respect for each other, but it was mostly business. They were the perfect duo on record and for marketing, but polar opposites.
OMG!! Did you really get to go to that?! Willie and Neil are my two most favorite artists. It's been quite a while since I've seen either one in concert. It must have been great to be at Willie's 90th birthday celebration. Thanks for sharing!
I know a real cowboy. He shoes horses in Jackson Hole, and works hard on his ranch in the winter. He has worked on the ranches in Arizona. Rope, ride, brand, doctor, and he lived out on the range for 3 to 6 months the way they did Back in the Day!!! I am honored that he has allowed me to be a friend.
I wanna be just like him when I'm 90 .... 64 & holding ☺ & Neil is there too my goodness; pulling hearts strings with his voice// I miss these guys so very much already.... Gordon Lightfoot RIP
Happy 90th Birthday 🎶 Willie and Thank You for Your ranch called: "Luck" that rescues horses from the slaughter-houses to find them "forever homes". 🐴 🐴 🐴 🤠
Bless his ol' heart. It's all he can do to catch enough breath to walk out on the stage, or string a line together, but he still holds a note and stays on key better than Neil Young.
He won't die in retirement. He's gonna die on His range like the old cowboy in that episode of Yellowstone. Under a shady venue pavilion, with Trigger (his guitar) on his lap, a joint in the headstock, and a serene smile on his face. He'll die doing what he loved. He'll die the legend that he is.
i had a ticket to his show in fredrikstens festning in halden norway for 20 plus something years ago but i got sick and missed it,,by the looks of it i never gonna see him live ,i envy u guys that got to see this show live,,
Willie is an icon whose shoes will be hard to fill when gone. The passing of Gordon Lightfoot was not too surprising given how he looked. Willie, unfortunately, has some of the same characteristics that hints his health isn't great.
I love when Neil Young came out and wanted folks arrested for not taking the COVID shot. He's a fine Canadian. He did a lot to help the government crack down on people. Great guy !
Happy Birthday Willie, I hope that you live to 150 Years Old at least, you are all we have left,, It's A Shame that Neil took over Here, took over Willie's Birthday, Neil can go Back to Canada, Cousin Figel
Ffs..Willie was having a hard time singing..Neil was there to help celebrate Willie's epic musical career. He did a great job and Willie looked very happy to have him there.
Neil is a great artist but boy o boy did he turn into a puff. The high point for Willie aside from all his outlaw music was when he was on the Alex Jones show.
100 million plus for Farm Aid, millions for the bridge school, live Aid, and on and on it goes. Standing up for something is one thing-showing up and being authentic and compassionate towards the needs of others is what is legendary here.
@@kencade6544 Right on Brother! Funny you sent this. I was just thinking about Young the other day when a band covered him, the truth is he's a far-out cool dude. A legend. We can disagree on some politics but the secret is we all have more in common than uncommon. Love wins every time. We all need to calm down on the politics, hate, anger...
Willie Nelson needs a crowd for his birthday he can't smoke joints and drink beer in private like everyone else's yeah it's all about the money not the music for these guys is it now
@@clayirwin574 no one HAD to buy a ticket. It was live streamed.. Don't know why you feel the need to be so snarky anyway. 90 years old and still performing is something to celebrate - not denigrate. For the record I'm not a real fan of his music but he's an icon in his genre. Props to him.
@@barbwatkins3676 no cost pretty good just like a music bush Party everyone playing music for free best concert I been to radio artist always request payment to perform like whey can't play with out pay but not the unknowns I played guitar and harmonica with the rest of them it was a blast radio artist would not do this with other people unless they are getting some kind of payment to perform a song talk about greed that's the radio artist for you all that 1960s military and government involvement in California In the canyon where they all came together
