It has gotten stronger again once he quit all smoking. He was destroying his lungs, not good when you make your living with your voice. Sounds better than he has in years.
I share a birthday with Willie. I am 75 and can only hope to be as healthy and productive as he is. What a wonderful performer and person he has always been.Happy Birthday!!
@@Besta_Lisa Brings tears to my eyes to see Kris failing, and know he won't be around too many years more. Was so glad to see he was able to make this wonderful event honoring his old and dear friend Willie.
@@rriveter9927 I get what you are saying - and others have called me and said the same thing... but I look at him, and all I see is beauty and light. There is something magical, mysterious about a soul that no longer is clinging to their ego and just shines brightly. We have been BLESSED to have lived in the time when he made his music and spoke his gospel and lived his truth. I cried tears of joy when I saw his clip with Roseanne Cash.
What a wonderful party. I wish I could have been there. I love most of the folks up there and I especially love Willie's guitar showing its age and still playable. Of course I love Willie, too. Happy Birthday, Hao'li la hanau.
I love you Willie. You are so incredible with 70 Years of bringing so many different flavors to country music incorporating the blues with BB King and the duet you did with Frank Sinatra and they incredible guitar solos you do on Trigger. The feeling and emotion in every word and every note in the back phrasing. You and Waylon Jennings were true Outlaws standing your ground against Nashville doing your music your way which revolutionized the music industry. Thank you for standing strong. I remember meeting you guys in Nashville at the studio when I was there as a kid with my aunt when she promoted country music. You guys were so crazy but also so very silly and funny and so very kind to me. I will never forget you and Waylon. You guys were like brothers and made me feel special. I love you Willie. Happy Birthday. Keep playing the songs.
This man has written some of the greatest songs of the 20th -21st century. When he’s gone he won’t be replaced. That era rewarded talent like his and now those days are gone. Relish these moments because it will never be the same. We won’t have these shows to go to in 10-20 years. George Jones said who’s gonna fill their shoes? I don’t see anybody. Hate to be grim but the music business is set up now to promote what sells and I don’t see the new Willie Nelson yet. He’s out there but he may never get signed, recorded or ever be onstage and that fuckin sad. In the meantime we still have these legends. Enjoy it while it’s still here.
What a fantastic group of my favorite musicians, saw Bob Weir & Billy Strings in the thumbnail, and Roseanne helping Kris Kristofferson, just so many fantastic musicians, Keith Richards, George Straight, just Wowzer!!!
Happy day Willy keep on giving them hell and making a better world for humanity keep on making music Musicians unite humanity Politicians divide humanity Willly a true American treasure and human being Will live on forever ✌️❤
@tracyharpert4475 1 second ago We love you Kris Kristopherson. You are a true hero in every sense of the word. I loved it when you were on the Highwaymen tours and you would sing Bobby McGee with Waylon Jennings and the incredible duet you did With Willie singing this song. I remember the Farm Aid performance you guys did Johnny Cash did Folsom Prison, Waylon Jennings did I’ve Always Been Crazy You did a tribute to Ceasar Cavez and Willie Ended the show with the Gospel Medley and you came back out on stage and sang background vocals with the Native Americans. When I saw you again singing background vocals with Willie during the Gospel Medley it brought tears to my eyes. You revolutionized Nashville and country music with the incredible stories you shared with us through the songs you wrote. Even Waylon said that. When you wrote Help Me Make it through the night while you were sitting alone in the helicopter you flew on that oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. I felt your heart in every word as my heart was right there with you. And the very special feeling in Why Me Lord. Even Elvis did that song in his concerts. Stay strong and courageous my beautiful friend and brother. I love you and I will be praying for you and Willie. There is no one like you guys in Country Music today. Thank you for sharing your heart with us through your songs. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ole Willie he's been around awhile and played with alot of the great ones. Willie , Ray Price, Mearle Haggard, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Ray Price even played and lived with Hank William's Sr.

Happy Birthday !!! And Many More !!! Quite the cast paying well deserved respect. So Cool to see Kris Kristofferson again with Rosanne Cash. I have seen Johnny, Waylon, and Willie live in concert, but never had the opportunity to see Kris. Another one of the greats I missed out on.
