Literally met him yesterday (which brought me to this video). He played us a lot of unreleased music. Still makes great stuff, trust it will be released soon.
This song actually makes sense now that I grew up & understand whats happening. Kudhara ndaingoti yaiva nziyo now I realize it was something really meaningful
"I'm an Afrikan warrior who meeds a true Bantu woman" 🔥 That statement resonates with me at a meta spiritual level. Musalad uya from Hillside Bulawayo transitioned from copy pasted Western imperial cultural imposition to Chivanhu chedu. It comes with time and maturity. An Afrikan warrior to the marrow. Gono Chirandu

I used to like this song as a kid, singing word for word. Now as an adult, I realize how misogynistic and judgy it was. Wow! My whole childhood ruined 💀
@@nyati_imhenyu it shuns of modern independent women and advocates for the traditional docile woman. He hates the progress in women empowerment and seems to prefer a servant rather than a partner. The song didn't age well with the times as is the case for every conservative pseudo art performance
@@takudzwamazwienduna Its a shame you negatively look down on traditional women. Those women held up their homes and although they may not have been career focused, without them, none of us are here. You can choose to be independent but lets not look down on women who choose to be traditional and focus on family
@@TJaeSpeaks Traditional women were more disadvantaged and had less options and less empowered than women today. I pity their plight, not look down on them. Most of them had no choice but to put up with abusive marriages.
