I just came across this tutorial and really like the pattern, enough so im going to have to add it to my fly box. Thanks for clear instruction and the tricks you used to get the end results. God Bless n Fish on!
Hey Willy I've tied this pattern yesterday, put it into my fly box and went on short fishing session by my local pond to see how it works. I was astonished by what it does in the water ! It was the first time ever I tied a zonker in my life. And I'm about to produce these more. I've alredy had a fish on that but I lost it. I'll give it a try again shortly. Thanks ! :)
Cant beat the ZONKERS what size hook? also did you ever try a micro LEECH pattern very simular...super effective for trout most fish in stillwater lakes or anywhere ..

Rly dont get it. Wrapping the intire zonkerstrip as a head - thats stupid. You made a dubbingloop for the body. Much more Nice and durrable when using a loop for the head, with the squirrel fibers.
