Bill Wilm always wanted to be a cowboy. Against his mother's advice, he became one and has been living the life ever since. During his years as a cowboy, Bill learned to fix and eventually build tack for riding including saddles, bridles, chaps, bits and spurs. His knowledge comes from a lifetime of doing what it took to get the job done... but he does not do boots!

This is awesome... thanks for sharing. My husband Danny worked for Bill at the Calder-Togo Community Pasture east of Yorkton back in 1974-79. Bill's knowledge of horses, tack and cattle was put to use where ever he laid his hat..

Bill and his family managed the community pasture next to our farm by Calder Sask. I havent seen them since they moved when I was small. I was over there all the time as a child playing w his children. It was great to hear his kind voice again. A great man and a great craftsman.

That old saddle that got dragged, is that a waco texas made? Sure looks like mine, we have 2 one I redid the horn, the cantle used a little rawhide trim on the back as well as on the horn, New fenders covered the sturups and reskirt it with sheepskin, came out nice,
