Less crowded, go to Topsail Beach on the south end of Topsail Island. And the parking is still free right now. They are considering paid parking, hopefully it doesn't pass. Some of these beach towns, like Carolina Beach, have gotten so greedy and have started to charge all year long for parking. I've probably made my last visit to Carolina Beach.
Well that would depend on a few factors. First they are very close to each other. The biggest question I'd ask, is what do you like to do when you are outside of the house? Is it all beach, or shopping, clubs and brewery's? They're both awesome in different ways.
@@janroggeman1stClass Hi Jan, new subscriber. Thanks for all the info. For someone like me and my husband, we are interested in shopping (Nordstrom, express, Dillards etc), and restaurants/bars but we we don’t mind being 20-25 min from the beach (we enjoy the balance of quiet but near the activity). What would you recommend?
@@Casper847 Thank you for subscribing! I'm thrilled that people are finding the videos helpful. Areas on the outskirts of Wilmington would provide you with what you are looking for as well as Leland, and Hampstead. A little farther away in Rocky Point you'll find quiet. All of those areas have a different feel and vibe to them. You could also find spots in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach that may work for you if you like the Island Life! You can message me if you need more specific info. Again, thanks for subscribing! I appreciate it.
@@janroggeman1stClass thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Sounds great! Your videos are helping us with our research. I have watched so many already. I was always worried about the hurricanes and alligators but we do enjoy the island life. We are based in Utah right now. We get snow storms some severe weather notifications every winter and its pretty cold. Will continue watching the videos and if I have further questions I’ll message you. We hope to make a move and rent for a few months this summer, and hopefully purchase something once we find the right spot. Cheers,
