Really kills you because you realize that even though Jim has problems navigating day to day social interaction he is still not gone far enough to not know that he's alone. He's just a weird guy that knows he's weird doing his very best to have human connections.

Jim’s definitely one of the most sympathetic characters in british TV, you can laugh at his weird antics all you want but when you get down to it all those weird things he does are him trying to genuinely connect with people and find companionship, the guy spends Christmas alone with only his dog for company for crying out loud

This scene is so sad and really sums up jim in a way. He always flinches and never actually touches Wilson but does so now. He always refers to the Goodmans as his friends not neighbour but it seems he knows they never really saw him as a friend as he calls Wilson his only friend. He was just a bumbling man who was kind at heart, a bit childish and an idiot. But a good person at heart and despite the fact that he was scared of Wilson he really did love him. This was the most emotional moment in the show and hits pretty hard

When he says, "My only friend," he's finally come to terms that he's not really the Goodman's friend. And in his final moments with him he decides to pet him after avoiding to do so. In his speech it seems like its meant to be humerus but when he said, "I am now alone," u really feel it.

I like how the whole Goodman family changed like Martin wasn't stupid, Jackie actually felt sorry for Jim and the brothers were sad aswell. The way Jim Just balls in to tears and says "No more Wilson" I felt that. Also the way he says "my only friend" is because he established that the Goodmans weren't his friends and without them he will be all alone. Great series and R.I.P Wilson

Mark Heap is a phenomenal actor. To make the toughest viewer laugh until they can laugh no more and cry when they rarely cry in lifes most difficult situations is a very rare thing. You can tell the talent of an actor if they are incredible in both Comedy and Drama, the two pillars of theatre and entertainment. Rest in peace Paul Ritter you were another brilliant and gifted actor, versatile in both comedy and drama. He made us hate him in Chernobyl showing one of the worse historical events ever to happen to mankind and Earth, and made us laugh

I love that moment at the very end here when the music comes back on as Martin hands them the shovels. It allowed the audience to feel emotional because of Wilson's death and see Jim from another perspective but then after their own private funeral, its enlightening tone comes back to remind us that it's a comedy show and it becomes humourous again. Robert Popper is such a brilliant writer.

When he said "no more wilson" I really felt that. It's a really relatable reaction to me when grieving. Like, when friendships that meant alot to me end, I always think "no more __". Very relatable reaction of griveing to me, really hit home.
