Bob Mortimer has been one of UKs best surrealist comedians for decades! Was one half of Reeves & Mortimer who were probably the biggest TV comedian of the early 90s with their insane surreal TV show! 😂

Scotch Eggs can be eaten out of the hand, like an apple, just bite chunks out of it as required. Also, if suitably protected from pocket fluff, or other debris, as Bob indicated it could be ideal as portable ‘Pocket Meat’. Alternatively, cut it in half, put it on a plate, maybe as a component part of a salad. It’s a versatile snack food!🍽😊

My wife and I were listing those we reckoned would qualify as British National Treasures. Of course the usual suspects: David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Ian McKellen, Joanna Lumley et al. After watching this on TV the other day, we added Bob Mortimer to that list.

She is Samantha Morton and she was also in Minority Report with Tom Cruise, she played a character called a Pre- cog who could forsee the crimes before they were committed.

Fantastic ACTRESS! Also played the visons human Tom Cruise rescues in MINORITY REPORT! Her performance in that movie is astonishing! And one of her disturbingly best performances is based on true story of playing notorious Child Murderer Myra during her years in prison when she visited for many years by Lord Longford who thought she was redeemed and advocated for her to be released in future!! Its a shockingly brilliant yet disturbing TV drama based on real events called LONGFORD! 😮

Hill retired from the 1996 British GP but he did win the Championship. He did win the British GP in 1994 a couple of months after his teammate the great Ayrton Senna was killed. The egg must have held it's luck because his championship rival Michael Schumacher broke his leg and missed a few races but ultimately beat Hill by one point after crashing into him at the last race.

😂 I love how rare you think scotch eggs are - they're EVERYWHERE. All grocery stores and supermarkets have them - they're something you tend to have for lunch, maybe with a sandwich or on its own... beautiful 😄 If you carry snacks in your pocket and you're British, there's a good chance it'll be a scotch egg! There are also mini ones which have a sort of chopped up boiled egg in them which are usually called 'savoury eggs' which is a cryptic name for what it is 😂Love you guys ❤

I read Bob’s autobiography last year. He has had an amazing life, but very sad and depressing at times, a life that he has unfortunately in common with many other comedians. Comedy and mental health issues seem to go together. His book contains many of the stories he relates on this programme. I am just sad that soon he will run out of stories..

@@ritahamblin1043 Yes, Rita. It was a half-hearted effort as I knew Security would be tight as we were playing Away. Security was so tight that once we sat i,e stood by our seats(no one sits down Away from Home) then we had to show our ticket just to go to the loo at the back of our end and, again,to re-enter, so , unlike Home games when it is well packaged with a drink,as well,I just shoved it in my pocket to my eventual regret:)

Bob Mortimer's gone from being Vic Reeves' partner to a national treasure. He did a very good series with Paul Whitehouse where they go fishing and basically just talk, actually 6 series at the last count showing how popular it was. Sounds boring, which would be appropriate for your channel, but it's very much a feel good show and well worth a watch as it shows off Bob's personality in a more relaxed setting. I'm currently reading his autobiography which I'd recommend if you haven't but it does contain some of the WILTY stories so maybe finish those first.

Jodi, I posted a link to an interesting RU-vid video on Ada Lovelace a few minutes ago, which I’m sure you would have found fascinating. (Based on your reference to her in a recent ‘QI’ reaction). My post included the link to the video and should have probably appeared as the first comment. But, when I looked after posting it, it did not appear in the comments section.
