I got the same circle track spindles I went with the D52 front calipers there 2 pistons I couldn’t cut my spindles they was $165 each plus I heard big brakes doesn’t stop the car better wider tires does
This is the kit I used on the front. www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdFront?itemno=140-12836-DR&year=1980&make=Chevrolet&model=Camaro&option=Disc+Brake+Spindle The rear is going to depend on the bearing size of your 9" housing but they are WIlwood also.
@@flipflopsgarage Thank you. Your videos are great that we can see how you build it. In my opinion, it's a bit of a shame that you don't give more detailed specifications and maybe links to parts in the video description 🙏🏻 It would be very useful for me as a European studying it on the Internet. but that's my opinion, otherwise amazing work!
If you use stock brakes it’s bolt on. If you go with something aftermarket you have to trim the spindles. They are already drilled and tapped for Wilwood kits if you go that route
@@Macnificent78_ The shims are used to center the pads not fill the gap. It could be that your setup may not need shims. What I did for mock up was to install the caliper without. I used dial calipers to measure the gap from pad to rotor on both pads. Then measured the shims and did the math to get the correct stack. For instance my drivers side took 2 shims on the caliper and the passenger side took 3. Hope this helps but if not let me know and I can make a quick video on how I did it.
@flipflopsgarage yea that what I did I added more shims to take up that little play on 1 side and I ended up with the play on the other side and the Instructions are horrible for the willwood parts number don't match the packaging its been a drag bro thanks for responding
@@Macnificent78_ If you mic the shims you should find not all of them are the same thickness. At least that's how mine came. Good luck with your build.
@@e.m.landeros1723 I ordered my TKX trans as a kit from American Powertrain and it's a "complete bolt in" kit. I haven't seen it yet but their reviews were pretty good.
