Your pep talk about the pressures of being a new teacher was so nice to hear. I just started teaching and I am completely overwhelmed with a new school, new faces, and new procedures. It makes me feel at ease to know I’m not alone in the way I’m feeling.

Hello Madison!! I have been watching for videos since 3 days ago and I can’t keep myself off my screen. I’m a teacher and I have more than 10 years of teaching experience(in Spanish, my native language). I moved to Canada 6 years ago and dreaming about become a teacher, but I don’t feel confident about my English yet. I’m working as a Educational Assistance since 2021 and by watching you I’m feel like it’s never late to do new things. You inspired me!! Thank a lot.

The seasons of life you talk about is so true. Those seasons do pass and you’ll always have tough ones and easy ones. I’ve been struggling with school. I have 3 semesters left and then I will start teaching and I’m so nervous. I’ve got a lot going on and home too and all of it together has made me really question teaching.

I’ve been so overwhelmed with school…I’m trying to finish so I can graduate & teach faster but you are so right. Some days feel easier than others and I’m glad you always remind yourself that. This is my 19th/20th year teaching special education. I still get overwhelmed & have questions, but it does get easier! I hate grocery shopping also! I just had groceries delivered from Walmart!

Just a tip: I noticed that you were using an Expo marker on paper for your meet the teacher station papers. (The pink ones). I’ve realized that if you use those on paper, they don’t last nearly as long as they could if you were to just use them on white boards. You might want to stick with a sharpie for paper and such. Just looking out for the environmental affect. Love your vlogs and congrats on 30k!

One day,when you’re a little old lady,you will tell stories of the adventures,and believe it or not,you will receive messages from your former students,and they will thank you. 🥰

I’m a student teacher right now and this was me last week. I was literally so lost and it sucks that my mentor teacher didn’t really help to fill me in. It was a lot honestly. I need tips! I don’t even get how they lesson plan on their macs everything is so different than what the university teaches me. 😭

Hey girl I totally know this feeling and I’m so sorry your mentor teacher hasn’t been much help! That’s what she is there for, to answer your questions, so maybe write down all the q’s you have and see if you can set aside some time with her to get them answered?? But also know you will figure everything out as you go 💖

When you did your student teaching, did you have to create a letter to the parents and permission to video tape or did the school have something for you to send? Your video's are so inspiring and I love the set up for meet the teacher night. Such great ideas. Congratulations on 30K!!!!!!
