You illustrating these battlefield tactics is really helping fill in some blanks I’ve had on how I can defeat these considerably larger armies. Keep up the great work! I’ve been liking your videos as soon as I click on them because I know you don’t waste my time
Thanks. Yeah, i was in an army so still had a few non vlandian units in there and really shows the difference of culture and how you use the units in each culture can be very different. Normal archers can just sit there all day but crossies really can't.
I mix vlandian sharpshooters with battnian fians (ranged is about 35% of military force) . I have 20-25% infantry force. 50-55% cavalry - cavalry is a mix of banner knights, cataphracts and vanguards (you should have vanguards or other fast cavalry to support the more tanky ones… it seems to make a difference)
This is a video on how to use Vlandian only troops in a formation to overcome their weaknesses and maximize their strengths. fians, cataphracts or others don't fit into the purpose of it but thanks for leaving this for someone considering mixing it up.
Love your style. I was looking around for examples of handling reinforcements and its kinda nice to see that everyone has them drop on your head. I'm trying to not freak out when that happens but it is annoying AF.
I feel like the sharpshooters should always be placed in a position to maximize their damage output considering they have such limited ammo. I make sure i tell them to ceise fire if their only hitting sheilds
Either you didn't see the terrain or you are willing to risk the infantry getting hammered on their own. if the infantry were more to the side they would be further away, essentially splitting them to far apart to fight together. It's ok, its your point of view. I don't want to risk the infantry getting caught in a separate engagement. it would increase casualties too much cause they are too weak to stand against Sturgian Infantry alone.
Yeah the spawns in battle are still pretty broken. One map can be fine then the next you lose allot of men for it. The issue is once an enemy goes defensive you have to take the fight to them, and they tend to stay close to their spawns.
