We had a day out at Khor Al Udeid the Inland Sea area of Qatar,. For a number of reasons we had not been for a couple of weeks. The weather has cooled off nicely.
In some areas the moisture helps traction and in other areas it seems to cause problems.
We came across a small car that was not really suitable for the sand. It appeared stuck, but just needed to be turned downhill, gravity helps.
We then came a cross a Toyota Land Cruiser, that was actually stuck. A police vehicle had stopped to help, but they did not have any recovery equipment.
We just winched it back a few metres, where the sand was a little firmer and they were able to drive out.
