Apparently you don't know what it's like to work every night at the shop to get your car ready and then have someone run you up to track spin you out and then the rest of the pack tear your equipment up equipment up in the very first corner of the race. I don't agree that the actions was accordingly, but emotions run very high. From what I seen in the video he put the quarter panel into the next guy on the very next restart, and then listen to the fans evidently he's known for these kind of actions. Eventually someone's going to have enough which we do not know how many times this has been done to the 11 car from the 17 we just got to see a short clip. But you put all your work your sweat your money your time take time away from your family to put into a car to get back nothing close to what you spend on it sometimes for nickel 98 trophy, or just the win sticker and you get tired of the same guy tearing your equipment up I'm not condoning either action from either driver just trying to explain that this is not just a hobby it's in your blood and it's your way of life
Tony you are incorrect I have worked on dirt latemodels and and sprint cars day in and day out.early hours to late hours. Been there done that. And it doesn't matter if it's happened many times between these two.if it has happened that many times the track should have done something before this happened.and yes i,ll agree the 17 ran him high at the start but he got made after the 2nd spin where he ( the17) wasn't near him. But if you have worked on them and you also know how high emotions run when your equipment gets tore up for no reason I'm not trying to get into any type of pissing match just stating my opinion, and you are dating yours. And they did end up taking Gus or the 11 car to jail later on that night or early the next morning. I have read an article about it. I also said that I did not agree with the actions of either driver

The 17 car has had there number and been the fastest car there for a month.The 11 car Gus wasn’t trying to get out of his car to fast instead he just run over him cause he wasn’t going to catch back up with.Him or the 7 car don’t like him because he faster.But they do know tht the 17 will get out and go to tht head!!!!
What ever happened to real racing? Racing when if you got pissed at somebody you fought it out and went home. Next week you raced again and had more respect for the other driver. Cheering because “the authorities” take someone to jail is cowardly. Men are no longer allowed to be men, we have all been conditioned to let government handle it....
11 shouldn't ever be allowed back. Period. I get it. Its racing. Tempers flare. But when h take a 2200pd machine and u deliberately run over a guy like 11 did, ur clearly an idiot and someone who has no business behind the wheel of a race car. It's called class and character. Watch the driver of the 11 car at toccoa where they don't beat and bang he's actually a damn good driver and is respected but he only takes so much and then he will hurt you

In my book its not a good thing to jump on somebody in there race car buckled in. You miles well tie their hands together and fight with them. But if you watch the video closely there was contact between the 17 and the 11 on the start. Then the 17 made contact with the 7 car on the restart. So....probably could have been handled a different way on both ends.
I would have done the same thing the 17 did, I would've jumped outta my car and proceeded to beat the shit outta the guy in the car or not. 11 car could've killed that boy, and you gonna say something about that, when the 11 car used his car to fight....really

Gus needs to go on back up to toccoa and run where they race winder barrow is famous for that bullshit there was a guy who worked for bill Smith grading yrs ago who had cutting egde bolt welded behind the body of his car just so the others would not beat on his car and the world famous George Reese carried a gun in the car with him and from what I'm seeing now they should fill that shithole up and put a trailer park on it toccoa,Lavinia,and Hartwell are way better tracks anyway
I don't care who's fault it is but when you go and threaten the life of another that is not ok what Chris woods did that night was dangerous and outright dumb.
