Another day on the job. Today I cleaned another house with security bars. Next time im going to try and not squeegee the windows and use my water fed pole for the rinse proses. Take the brush off and just use the purified water. This was suggested to me by a fellow window cleaner here on RU-vid. Hope you all are having a great start to 2017.

Thanks! Going to try my wfp next time instead of using my squeegee for the rinse proses. I think it might go smoother.

Some of the security bars in Boston are right up against the glass with maybe a quarter to half inch clearence so there is no using a squeegee to clean all the glass!

In that case, there's almost nothing you can do unless you can remove the security bars.

you could. But you have to agitate the dirt first before you spray it with RO water

Was just thinking again. Harbor Freight has a 4 gallon pump sprayer with backpack straps. On sale as of today. $27.99. Fill it with DI water instead of lugging out the whole system. Might make for more mobility and speed for just rinsing. I know, I think to much. Tell me if im being to intrusive. Take care.

thanks for the vids...reminds me to publish my newest video on limitation of services. one out of every 50 jobs is bars so I just rather not offer those services unless the price goes way up. or just tell the people that we use deionized water with them sometimes the bars are so close to the glass it's not worth a day of hurting your hands...

Looking forward to your video on limitation of service! Right now in my new business, I take most of the work that I am able to do. Like this job I charged him a bit more but I knew I could get it done in a reasonable amount of time. He did tell me that one company he called wouldn't even do windows that had bars on them no matter what.

That was way back when I used to add a little dish soap to the GG4 for extra slip. Now i just use straight GG4 or sometimes I add a little Glass Gleam Glide.

Time consuming job. You can't move like you want to. How you charged extra for difficulty stage 😜

Yeah, that one wasn't to bad. But I do charge more if they have security bars.
