@@Burndown Certainly agree, that local businesses are important to support, when possible. Also, more private manufactures that the 'Big Companies-Corporations', especially when they produce the superior products and work together with local businesses, distribution too. One of these is Amsoil vs every major lubrication, oil manufacture - many to most are inter-related or owned by the Elite International Conglomerate Standard Oil-Rockefeller. Those on a budget and need to protect their equipment, machines, components, etc. It is interesting Dane Paul the ECU You use is Holly. Do You get the necessary individual assistance, help, person comuncation ? Many others that have been using FuelTech, the personal attention, assistance, help, guidance and communication with their experts including, developer(s), owners etc. -also many have received direct assistance while at the track too. Am not aware if HalTech or others provide such service too. Am very glad You are approaching Your safety more seriously with the neck brace-donut, cage, parachute (please look into and seriously consider the automated type as Tess Woods-Miss Midnight Maverick talks about she has, and at least having a button 'close at hand', available on the steering wheel or gear shift knob-lever, for maximum ease of use and availability - Turbo John is a good example too - uses his parachute nearly every pass during testing, bye, and competition - and he mostly just runs 1/8 mile too. it is a necessary, important habit and saves on the brake pads too. All The Best Sincerely
That is genius. A light weight spring between the tabs on the side close to the steering wheel would keep it pulled towards the door and would pull it down when I pull the handle to release it. Wonder if they would have an issue with that. Guess I can try it and see. Its easy to take off if they don't like it. 🙌
You need one under 10 seconds along with all the other stuff your gonna see me get and put on the car. If you plan on going fast start getting safety gear as you go so your not trying to do it all at once. You can look up all the stuff you will need and if you have questions let me know.
Good work, the only thing I would check is the shear strength of that pin, weak link theory, if the rod was threaded, it wouldn’t be able to pull out of the Clevis, if that pin breaks or falls out will the net fail? I’m not sure, just thinking out loud
I feel like if you shear the pin off because you put your arm or head through the net you may have bigger problems then if the pin was strong enough or not. I can tell you I hope to never find out. I left some length as well so if the pin did come out the rod won't slide out of the clevis. Ill have tech look it over next time I go to the track so if I need to change it I will.
The tabs are on the cage already so I don't want to mess with them. I just grabbed the thing and pushed it out and bent it to the door and its much better now. haha
Yes but they would have to be a decision made before you get your window net made I think. Off the shelf nets will give you what you get so I would need more length on the net to drop it down out of the way if that were the case. Good idea tho
Ahhhh you can bend that. A window net would be pointless if it impedes your ability to comfortably steer the vehicle. I think if it's up to the door and can be dropped quick, it'll be better.
