I don't know what i just saw, But i can assure Kashmir is more than just a valley of Violence and Rage. There's something mesmerizing about this place, Something Peaceful. I don't know anything about terrorism but restraining someone from happiness is evil and inhuman. Thank You Imtiaz Sir for showing the beautiful and different side of Kashmir.

It all seems fine in today's world. In the 1950s when i was there there were no water hyacinths and the lake was pristine clean with gardens all around it. The Nehru Guest house was just completed and we had the privilege of being one of the first occupants of the first floor overlooking the lakes. One travelled from Jammu through the Banihall Pass, which was often blocked by landslides. We were stuck due to a landslide and spent the most wonderful day at the Inspection Bunglow. I will never forget it for the marble chess board it retained from the Mughal era. If one travelled by train one went up to Pathankot and from there by convoy to srinagar with a stopover in the evening at Udhampur. The roads were beautiful with chinar trees lining both sides. the only petrol station in Srinagar was owned by Howrah Motor Companies owned bya Bengali family- the Nags- of Calcutta. The people were the most hospitable and sincere, simple, honest.

It felt more like a documentary of a simple guy with his simple lifestyle.beautiful. Only Imtiaz sir can make things look so natural.every one were real or he casted them,i don't know but i love the way it helped the story to flow.❤️❤️

When we lived there the lake was sooo clean and well kept. Like everything else in India it is rotten now with hyacinths and the water dirty.
