Thanks for the explanation! I'm having a difficult time getting my recently widowed 84-year-old Dad to understand that this process is safe & his data would not be compromised. Sending him this video immediately!
I've used this feature multiple times, and it's awesome. I've used this while I was abroad and the connection was smooth and steady. Highly recommended
It works well. Nice to use alongside Teams. The built in messaging can clutter the screen so I have preferred opening Notepad for the chat. You can get unnerving moments when you first use it and you are waiting for a black screen with two rectangles to resolve into the remote image. Be patient. Also the Remote person may be prompted to enter an admin username/password to allow Quick Assist to be used to alter their machine. The connection cannot complete until this is done. Connecting to multiple monitors can throw you as well the first time you see it. Use the Monitor control to select the primary monitor.
Nice! i've loved this! I would like also to have a video how to improve my Windows 10 performance. Windows 10 for sure has tools to do so, instead of a third party tool, thanks!
That's great, but though I haven't really tried it yet, from what I saw in a 480p video, the one who is allowing the other person to assist him can't explicitly select whether he just wants to let him view the screen, or let him take the complete control. Yes, there's that option of denial in the final confirmation message, but then it takes a few more external chats to get it activated again as per mutual requirements. If that could be possible, then this would be an excellent lightweight alternative to TeamViewer (in binary screen sharing instances). 👍🏻
When I assist and want to install something, windows pop up asking for admin credentials, my user see it but I can only see a black screen, so i cannot put my credentials using this tool. Therefore it does not work well for remotely helping installing software.
Thank you for sharing this. I've been using Skype with my dad to troubleshoot his laptop, but Skype doesn't allow full control. Quick assist is better.
At 1:53 you say, 'I can take full control', but that is not true. Many times, the other person needs to interact, because I can't see the screen asking me to click on 'yes' or accept something. Quick Assist is great, but this makes it very disappointing to use because the other person needs to be there, and the other person wants to do something else after a while... Also, after a while, I need to say I'am still there, after 2 min. the connection will be stopped. But what if I need to wait for half a hour and I was not able to see the countdown of 2 minutes? This is so frustrating if the connection is broken, but I was not ready yet... Why not make it very easy to reconnect without the other person needs to interact?
please Microsoft fix windows hello face recognition is not working < very soon i tried every method in the internet and i tired even more method still not working
Hi srry for disturbing but i had a question. I cant update my Windows 10 to version 1903 or 1909 cauz of error 0x80070005. Do u think u can help me? I tried many things but nothing worked. Im hopeless....
Hi there, dues to some system issue an authorized technician used this app with my computer to check issue remotely. Is there any possibilities for hacking or scam?
@@THW69 that would be my immediate response to however with most retailers shut they may not be able to get the upgrade let alone the knowledge to do the upgrade. Could also be a budget constraint.
Bom dia, Já está disponível na atualização de maio 2020? Tem alguma limitação ou coisa do tipo? Poderia ajudar alguma empresa também ou até trabalhar remotamente?
Windows 11 the quick assist Remote Desktop is very small. I cannot adjust the screen to make it bigger. Screen does not go full screen. The remote screen seems to be in a window that cannot be extended. Please help is there anyway to get this full screen?
Do you know how to adjust screen resolution when you use quick assist. I have 4K and the computer I view is always so small. There is no actual size or zoom button. I end up seeing a very small square in the middle as their screen.
@@MicrosoftWindows it would've been great if Windows was able to tackle this and another issue. Why do you think I'm asking RU-vid people? Your tech support guy from India after remoting in and viewing it had no idea to resolve it and closed the opened issue. The same happened with outlook conversation view not working as expected. 👎
My mother has a Windows 7 = anything I can do? What happened to Windows Remote Assistance? Meanwhile on my Windows 10 my Quick Assist will not open - spinning wheel
Hi - nice video - thanks. A good TeamViewer alternative but, like TeamViewer, I assume (anyone know pl?) that there's a need to be a bit circumspect as the screenshare/keystrokes are going through Micosoft's servers or is it end to end encryption?
I think it's a safe bet that we're all here trying to figure out a way to help our parents with their computers. I want to help my dad, I gave him the security code and all, but now he can't see the Allow button to grant me access, and he's starting to lose patience big time!
Guys can you add windows 7 or older themes, there are some people who find win 10 hard to use and prefer win 7 or xp or older, if you make a theme i will be really exited, thanks if you read this.
Why not bikll gsate?? He could ahve done this ebncause he work form home too????? bukill gates needs to be ojnm the windows channel!!!! tyjois is unacceptabl
Dear Windows MacOS is batter than u but u do not even try to be better than them or try to make changes to the UI u make changes so small than not the average user can detect them remember Windows we are using Windows 10 because not we like the OS we are stuck with it and have no option to change......like me if u agree with me
Can you please make it a bit LITE instead of making it beautiful FIX THE WINDOWS UPDATE BUGS AND VULNERBELITIES Still using good ol windows 7 never had a single issue .
2 things TeamViewer can and Quick Assist not, so no TeamViewer killer... At 1:53 he say, 'I can take full control', but that is not true.
