Thanks my man! One thing I discovered, hitting the "Airplane" button (airplane mode) totally disconnects the laptop from the WIFI or ethernet lol. Great vid!
Great Video Thx My new Acer didn't come with a either net socket so it wouldn't work for me so I set my phone as a WIFI Hot spot and that worked awesome then I switched the WIFI Hot spot off
thanks, dale. 2nd time i've had to use this vid for a brand new laptop to skip the ms acc crap. all good. regards from durban, sunny south africa. 🇿🇦🏖️👊🏻
My new HP could not get past this login. No admin Prev on cmd prompt, OOBE did not work until going to C drive (not on X: drive) No back button. Went to recovery mode but this was not successful either. Could not disable the networking, no skip option.
My son has just input his email into his new Windows laptop set up and got stuck with a request for parent to approve. When I try to approve it I get an error message. He is currently locked out of his new laptop. How can we get around this? By entering my email instead? How do we change the email to mine (an adult account)?
Microsoft account is fine for personal use laptops but if you refurbish and resell laptops it can be a real pain. I prefer to have the computer fully set up and updated so the new owner just has to power it on and go. Will definitely be using this trick, thank you!
Thanx Dale. I've bookmarked this video. You of course realize that MS watches your site and now you've alerted them to this method they'll block it in the next release :-)
I have a question, I TRY to sep up my ACER laptop, and it is asking me for the 8 digit ROUTE LABEL. I do not know which is, or how I can find it. thanks
Cool I liked and Subscribed and Shared ! Due to security issues I am not allowed to use any Google products on any cellphone or computer which is way Cool and better !! Less Hacks and Malware !! There many better Altrernatives !!
Last year, we succesfully set up a Windows 11 laptop with an offline account..............until we wanted to download other browsers & drivers for our laser printers. Then it forced us to create a MS account. Tomorrow, we want to set up another Windows 11 laptop & need to know how to avoid the MS demand, when we want to download Vivaldi, or Brave, or our printer drivers. HELP?
Which version of Windows 11 did you have? Home or Pro? If Home, did you disable S mode so you could install anything else other than the MS Store stuff? If so, how did that work?
Hi. I always ask customer if they want s mode or not. Most do not. It's free and easy to do. If your going to use strictly ms products, and use one drive, then s mode is fine.
Thanks for sharing. Just unboxed my Acer Aspire 5 and got hit with this intrusive roadblock. Only difference is now they've removed the back button so there is no way to progress without signing in... scum. :/
For de-Bloat - Do exactly as said, but select "World" or "International" for language / region. Voila! - No crap installed! They don't have permission for 90% of the software outside of EU / USA.... so... those selections stop them from being put on in the first place. But yes, I agree with the video as presented. Mine is just a suggestion. [EDIT] this drastically drops the active processes, improving performance. On older or weaker models..... its important.
We just brought up a new Dell laptop with Windows 11. We didn't get any choice about backing up to OneDrive, which I absolutely don't want. I had the next button and the back button and nothing else. I eventually used the next button and it took me into the next topic. I tried to use the back button to go back to the OneDrive option, not that I could have made any different choice, and the back button wouldn't work any more. How do I stop backing up my files to the cloud? That's the last thing I want.
Works with windows 10. Thanks for the lesson. I used to sign in with my own Microsoft account, create a local account and then sign out. It would keep signing me in without my consent on the local account even though I signed out and deleted my account. Appreciate the tip.
22h2 patched this.....And the reason I want to be able to install without a account....is if I'm doing this for a customer or building one to sell and am putting a fresh install on one....its dumb that I have to use my own account get to windows create a local account set it to admin....log out then log back in to the new account and delete my account......But there are ways several in fact to get around this still.....
My WiFi settings seem to be turned off. Idk how to turn the setting on as it's just out of the box. It's not turning on even with the key on the keyboard. What do I do?
Did you fix it? You don't need the internet to install it. I tried it last week. When you get to a certain point, switch off your router or whatever so it can't find internet. Press shift+F10 to bring up the cmd prompt and run a couple commands. Plenty of RU-vid videos about it.
I got to the 5:16 point in the video. When I hit the back button I got a "Oops. Looks like we lost internet. Try again." I could not find a way around it, and had to enter my Microsoft account. Do you know any way to go back and work around it? I do not like having to sign in when I have absolutely no security concerns. This was a new HP laptop.
Hi. This video was posted approximately 7 months ago. Unfortunately, the 22h2 version of 11, Microsoft has fixed this glitch. Just setup your windows 11 with a MS account, once in windows, you can change it over to a Local Account.
Clever trick. I personally think most people should use a Microsoft account. You can make one up with phony information if you want. You don't have to use the same one as your Outlook email or what have you if you don't want.
The advantage of having a MIcrosoft Account, is that the OS license becomes associated with your Microsoft account so that if you ever have to install clean the OS is registered. If you do not, you may be required to purchase a license. The way Microsoft manages licenses is they tie the processor ID to the account. If you do not connect to the internet at some point, the OS activation is likely to be suspended.
not true, the system has a signature for the windows activation but forcing to make or use an email also to add your phone # is stupid you are a system sheep if you accept that even you pay for the hardware and software.
@@sunjourney3723 At this same sign-in screen, disconnect from internet > Shift F10 to open command center. Type OOBE\BYPASSNRO and hit enter. It will lead you to the same internet screen with the "I don't have internet" option at the bottom like old times. All done!
