I have a feeling that only a few PCs are eligible for the upgrade. I would just install it manually.

This update is so free that to run it i have to buy a new motherboard and processor and throw away the "old" ones which are working fine. Amazing experience

This will fail 100% cause of people not knowing that you have to enable TPM. Had to research for this myself and thought i had to buy a special module. Now imagine mainstream people that dont know about anything Windows but how to start their PC and open Internet Explorer 9

yea yea microsft you do almost nothing but remove a lot of functionality from win 10. You didnt even update Disk management, Firewall , you remove option to move panel to left/right or top, no drag and drop, no option to change size of the panel > now is too freaking huge for pc users ( give us option in pixel number to change the size ), you need be logged to even move freaking menu start to the left corner to looks like previous windows, no dark mode for notepad and the most task bar. There is more and more cons , do not install win 11 and stay on Windows 10 until Microsoft fix all the issue, add removed functionality and update other app in your system like firewall, disk manager etc.

I was so happy that my computer meets all the requirements. Unfortunately, my chipset is NOT WHITE LISTED by Microsoft. Great, thanks Mic!

As a developer & gamer myself. I'm gonna wait for few years to upgrade my Windows 10 to 11. Reason for waiting is there is always an issue, bugs and some developer specific tools haven't officially support Windows 11 yet.

I remember being told windows 10 was the last windows. I didnt believe it though, i knew this is exactly what they meant, updates evey time they decide on what new software licenes rules they want to force people into. How much more data tracking is going on with no option to disable it this time?

Still no consistent dark mode, and It has less features than Windows 10 (You can't drag items between minimised windows anymore using the task bar for example). Classic Microsoft, did anyone expect anything different?

My experience, thus far, has been repinning my games shortcuts to the start menu. And even then, it allows for about 10 pins. Like, why would you ruin something that worked so well previously??? It's like their whole game plan is to make using a computer an absolutely pain.

Upgraded without problems, but there's a serious bug with Windows Explorer memory leak, as others have already stated. When you open a bunch of windows and then close them the Windows Explorer process doesn't release the memory until you restart the process or the PC. Fix this ASAP, this is not beta testing!!!

Yesterday upgraded to windows 11, it's cool, I think just ui and notification sounds are changed only, it looks great though and didn't felt any decrease in the performance too so that's better cause I was worried about that.

Dear RU-vid people, I can inform everyone that this evening I have upgraded Windows 10 on one of my computers with a "non-supported" CPU (a Ryzen 5 1600). And I must say, Linux Mint 20.2 runs GREAT.

We can make our own 7gen devices compatible with Windows 11 but not 6/7 gen processors. Thank you Microsoft

No upgrade experience for me as I was insider already.

I was surprised by how smooth the upgrade went. Back when I upgraded from 8 to 10 and from older versions of 10 to newer ones, usually some of the things break: dev environment misconfigured, or explorer crashing. But this time everything worked.

May I know why did you get rid of start customization? I have groups with my programs and I don't use recently opened APPs and the such. With Windows 11 I can't organize my icons on the start menu and there is a blank space that I can't take advantage of even after disabling recently open APPs and recently installed (can't remember exactly the 2 options) While this may seem unimportant for some, for me it is something that turns me off from updating. Also, why is it that I can't choose small or big icons on the taskbar, I don't want such a thick taskbar on my screen...

Thanks for the update Microsoft. I have this and it's just miles ahead. But I need some more improvements. For example Small taskbar icons option and when you open edge in dark mode and search on it, you can see that the tabs bar is black and other part is white which looks bad. Otherwise this Windows is awesome.

windows 11 takes about 3-4gb of ram. Please try to reduce ram usage in future updates

Quick FAQ: For Security Boot - Disable CSM and having DX12 GPU is must to enable UEFI. For TPM - You need at least 2016 make motherboard. If you've the minimum required CPU, then it'd definitely have the TPM feature inside BIOS. Thank me later, enjoy alligator.

For those looking for a comment that isn't a cynical bash on windows 11, I upgraded recently, And it's not bad at all. Its a pretty nice refresh of my OS and I have not ran into any compatibility issues with my games or files at all. So basically, for non cynical and average people, windows 11 is not too bad. If you can upgrade, upgrade. If you don't like it, you can always roll back to windows 10
