This tutorial covers how to change your password on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Windows 8 allows both “Local Accounts” and “Microsoft Accounts”. This method allows you to change the password on either type of account.
Why can't other videos be this good and simple? Everything was clear and well done. Some videos are out of focus, and the cursor jumps all over the place. Well done.
How do I change the name of the computer so that, say I have a norton control wifi thingy, I go to turn off a internet and it says “computer” or something like that. How do I change the name of the computer
This didnt help at all. I HAD a WIndows password and used it each time the PC started up. Then I changed my Hotmail password on the Hotmail site, then the next time I started the PC, the Windows password no longer worked. Then, when I followed your steps to change the MS account password, there was an error message, "That service isnt available right now. Bye." and it did that each time I tried. But starting up the PC with the Hotmail password does work. Why? Where is my WINDOWS local password that I can restore for PC startups? Your video should have covered both since you mentioned it at the beginning.
Before I found this tutorial I did just what you show here, but it would not allow change...."It came up and said in a text "Something went wrong and your password did not change..???... What happened...(the message is still there...and it won't let me change my password........I have to change it...as my current e-mail address & password were exposed in 3 public hacking incidents,...Can anyone help....or tell me what happened..?
