I loved all those noises that Windows 98 made. I miss a lot of those noises and I wish they would bring back robots and every other noise. When I would open up a browser would make a noise when I would close it. Then I would have all this running through my Giants stereo with a huge KLH power size speakers and I would turn the bass up on all that stuff and it would drive people up the wall.
It really was a great bassline and stuck in your head, I found the WAV online some time ago to learn to play it. Never thought about brining it into a DAW to lengthen it. This is from a time when MS paid people to actually play instruments for their OS sounds...always wanted it longer and you gave us that. Thanks Good job on the arrangement too.
@@noahryan933 im sure you can get the WAV out of the Win 98 OS? i mean, all system sounds are in wave format so i wouldnt doubt just copy/pasting the file onto a USB or sm
It's so hard to believe I was only 6 years old when my parents first got a '98 PC and I remember everything about it better than my newer computers. Top tier OS.
That's a mean bass line. Not to mention whoever is playing the guitar and playing the feedback has a lot of talent. There is so much more going on with the way this was mixed, simple to the untrained ear yet very clever to those who know better. So wonder people like this piece of music so much.
The OS I used the most besides ME. I even still have the workstation with those 2 installed. Now I have to use a Gaming rig with Vista and 7 and my Creative PC with Windows XP.
Nostalgia... 24 years ago... Windows 98 in my heart forever. My first operating system, which I had the honor to meet when I met PC in 2001. Next my dear Windows XP Professional
pov: its 1998 you finally installed windows 98 after 2 hours you boot up your pc for the first time after you installed windows 98 you are greeted to this.
This tune followed by the dial-up sound to Freeserve and then surfing the net at 2.9kbps to add some more 'Under Construction' GIFs to my Geocities site.
Gateway LP Mini Tower TBR2-400 owner here. I can say with absolute validity that Windows 98 ROCKS. My unit runs Second Edition, if y'all are curious - and it runs Doom like a champ!
Windows 98 was good? What timeline are you from? Just changing the display settings made you reboot, you had constant driver issues and general instability.
Thank you Joe for borrowing your dad's laptop (God rest his soul)! Sorry Joe for messing up laptop's Win98 (that I fixed afterwards) and thanks for not having a clue about what happened! My IT carrier started there. Thank you Joe.
Me acuerdo cuando bill gates estaba vestido con su casaca de cuero todo un rockero y robo la campana de la iglesia para interpretar esa musica, decian que estaba loco pero he aqui ahora todo el mundo depende de su windows 10.
