Windows: Complete GPU Driver Clean Reinstall | DDU Crash Course 

for anyone with the issue i had.. where it doesn’t let you open ddu in safe mode cause something about accessibility.. you need to create a folder that ISN’T on your desktop. for example i put my folder into my “d” drive. which obviously isn’t on my desktop.. you have to make sure the extraction path DOESN’T go through “one drive” as that’s where you run into the “access” issue.

THANK YOU!! I kept getting "your graphics card is not supported" when trying to update my NVIDIA driver for the past few months (I have an RTX 3080 if it helps others with this issue). I'm not a computer geek, so I was very nervous about doing a fresh driver install, but this video walked me through it PERFECTLY! The driver updated fine and stopped my FPS stuttering in game. If it happens again, I'll be referring to this video again for another fresh install. New sub here! 😊

I was scared it was a hardware issue and not a software but I tried to run a benchmarker and found my GPU wasn't registering. Then I followed your steps and it works now.😅

Hey TroubleChute! I was recently watching a guide of how to get better connectivity and less ping over on your devices, did some stuff (Although I have no idea what how this could'eve caused a problem) played some games and saw that there were performance/fps dips, and my CSGO getting stuck at 30-40 fps, and then spiking for some reason to 200 and more which is very weird. Also it generally started acting off, not crashing my games but doing very very slight Micro Stutters here and there. I will now follow through your guide, hopefully that helps me out! Plus my laptop is brand new and seeing these results really made me nervous. Thank you once again, and i will text the results in my comment section.

Thank you so much. Your tutorial helped me to solve issues. First, i had wired problems after i woke up my pc from sleep. It shut down, and suddenly, my fps dramatically became low. i was suspicious that my gpu driver some how became courpted how ever problem sovled....

Another reason why your background may change is because you moved your background location and windows didnt update. After setting it back it still doesnt update. Changeing the background to somehting else and then back to the one that wasnt working should fix it.

If i completely reinstall Windows by formatting my c drive from the Windows installation before reinstalling. Does this do the same as ddu? Or is ddu still a good idea?

I did this with my laptop and ngl the difference without a clean installation is evident, thanks!! I do have a question tho, do you know how to fix a white screen issue when playing with Minecraft 1.19 using TLauncher? The game launches, yes, but all I can see is nothing but a white screen. I can hear music or the interaction noise when I press somewhere on the game but doesn't see any. Thanks as well!

There’s something I don’t get : why boot in minimal mode when you then disable it when it comes to installing the driver ? Doesn’t this let the pc automatically install an outdated driver like you said it would ?

My computer has horizontal pink and green lines that keep flickering... when I scroll my mouse cursor at the top of the screen the same cursor appears at the bottom of the screen. It looks possessed I hope this can perfom a exorcism 😢 (edit: It didn't work for me so probably is a hardware problem)

My prob I tried to update Windows 10, and it didn't update to a newer version of 10, then it broke things, and left me crippled.

Can you only use DDU? And is it bad if reseted the drivers but forgot to put safe boot off?

I was having an issue with Overwatch and ever since I used ddu to try and fix it my screen has been tinted gray I’ve been through so many solutions I have no idea what to do

I tried this and now whenever I try to install my driver's it just turns my PC off (edit: I did the classic change something then retry and it worked eventually. Took half an hour but it still works)

Help DDU wont open is safe mode. I tried to set it to admin but an error screen popped up in safe mode saying that it cannot run it

i had to do this outside of safe mode due to me being unable to give myself permissions to DDU. everything seemed to work fine, so how come safe mode was deemed necessary?

everything worked okay, but games still crashing a minute or two in on my GeForce GTX 1080 TI. It's been 5 years assume it's end of life issue but there are no other warning signs or diagnostic messages on the hardware.
