I've been searching all day to fix this error but this video helped me and works on any laptop and pc. I've watched all of those crappy Shift + F10 vids which use command prompt but this method only requires the power button. I got really worried when this error happened. Now I can use my laptop without any problems. Thanks David for the useful video! :)

My problem was I reset my computer and then this error occured. So i ended up doing it this way, and worked great! The double reset was all it needed I guess!

A simpler way (it worked for me) is to turn laptop off and on then go to 'windows update' in settings and choose to delay updates for the next seven days...wait about 10 minutes and then click on resume updates. That was it.

Had the same issue with my PC. I fixed the problem by buying another computer a laptop. But I'll try this with my PC LMFAO....

It's good to know that your problem was similar to mine. However, Most people do keep data on their computers. I certainly do, and the solution to reset everything via a complete reinstall of windows, is not much a solution for me.

Thank you for sharing, i tried the on and off 3 times on my lenovo and when i click troubleshooting and advanced options it gave the option of system restorw so i clicked on it but it prompted me to another dialogue box that said i didnt have enough _ points... Any other restart option kept bringing me to the loading page with the same dialog box.... Shift+F10 didnt worked either i tried both and also shift+f9

Just a note, I got the diagnose the problem message after the second restart. I accidentally shut it back off, expecting it to come on after the third time. Resetting the whole thing now. I just bought this laptop from Best Buy as a "Certified Excellent Open Box." I guess they mean "Open Box." "Certified Excellent for Us." No reason I should have had this problem the first time I use the thing.

You need go reset the pc keep my files and after press CANCEL only that and your problem solved in 3,4 min trust me!!!

well i tried it on mine and its just turning off and turning back on but its taking long so far more then 1h for sure that i know it took like 4h already and it still is so what could i do just wait ?

Of course this doesn't work on my Toshitba Satellite L775D This is apparently, the only Toshitba model which cannot be reset with the normal easy methods which all other Toshitba models do, no format disc comes with this Toshitba of course, and so I've also been bringing up command prompt and typing in all the msoobe etc etc and not one of them works, which you have to wait an eternity for the Toshitba to go through all the false loading motions, only to show the same pop up over and over. My solution? I found putting a 5 lbs sledge hammer through the 17.3" screen to be very satisfying indeed. I felt immediate joy and even managed to laugh...out loud! I'm not one for rolling around on the floor laughing my ass off though, that's immature...some might even say gay...homosexually gay! But I would never say such a homophobic thing, that's just wrong...sigh Oh, I did decide to send the sledge through the screen and body multiple times, and with each satisfying crash, the sound was sweeter and sweeter, almost as if I could hear the communist Chinese swearing at me in some rare Mandarin dialect, although it could have been Wu, Gan or even Xiang which we all know are from central China. Now, I'm really a novice with such things, and yes I am embarrassed I really should have paid more attention, but I suppose it could also have been Min, Hakka or possibly Yue from the southeast coast. In any case, this was an unorthodox fix which was quite invigorating really, I highly recommend it! So...any have a good recommendation for a good reliable laptop then? I'm suddenly in the market!
