Windows XP 2024 

My jaw dropped when dark mode was engaged at 7:20. Brilliant colour choice and the wallpaper transition was a very cool touch.

This should be released as a shell for W11. I think alot of older people that can't find their ways in the new OS would very much like to have it look like this.

WE NEED THIS. MICROSOFT NEEDS TO MAKE WINDOWS XP 2024!

While I love Windows XP, I think the Windows that we NEED today should be a culmination of everything loved by each version. Completely and utterly remove advertisements, tracking/telemetry, forced M$ account, and forced updates. Make every feature optional/toggle. Give full user control & customization. No pre-installed apps. Then, for me personally, take some loved features from different versions and remaster them (off the top of my head, I can't think of everything atm): From Windows XP: - Simplistic navigation throughout the OS & Explorer - Luna theme & Royale theme - Media Center - "Classic" logon dialog - "Classic" start menu From Windows Vista: - Windows Aero & Aero Glass UI (beautiful translucency and UI effects) From Windows 11: - Dark Mode - Enhanced Notepad Additionally, harden the OS internals significantly; And require a more Linux-like approach for changing some of the more "dangerous" system internals. Completely isolate and "jail" applications separate from the OS into their own virtualized containers. Overall making: A beautiful OS that's customizable, doesn't nag or annoy the user, doesn't make the user feel watched - and overall providing a better sense of security.

Windows XP will always be my favorite version of Windows, because it had great music for the installation setup and tour. It even had memorable sound effects, especially the error sound. This concept for a modern day version, while keeping that same energy as the original is impressive. You did a great job on it.

XP was my favourite OS. If was still supported I would still be using it. It even included an easy to use video editor that was basic but did all I wanted. I bet it would run really well on modern hardware too.

I must say I absolutely love how elegantly you have done the settings in this video. They way it combines modern categories and legacy control panel settings is awesome. ❤ That's something Microsoft can't figure out for more than a decade. Seriously Microsoft, just hire this guy.

This was so nice. I've installed XP so many times that I had learned the serial code by heart. Seeing it again now, brought nice memories...those were the times.

I wish Microsoft would go back to the basics and make something like this... They should take the features from Windows 7/ XP to make a better OS than what we have now. This concept here gave me a good feeling, nicely put together!

I'd love this for Windows7 personally... I use Win10 but I've installed a few things to make it more like Win7. But I used XP from it's inception to when Win7 came out. So I'd prolly feel right at home too ! Awesome Video, thanks !

Dude, this is amazing! Such fluidity, and the windows corners are rounded like 11's. The music is so chilling!

I simply loved this OS. As a cog in my university department's IT structure, I built labs for graduate students and a program's research center (this was all from scratch). My first 40 or so boxes were loaded with Win NT and the system was on its own Active Directory server. When XP launched, everything except the servers were reinstalled with it. The change for the ordinary person in terms of stability over Win98 was tremendous. I rode this OS personally until moving to Win7 was not an option anymore. XP was one of M$ best accomplishments, all the way through SP3. I can still remember the serial code that came with our site license...

I still can't let go of the memories I had using windows xp, if there was a way to use Windows 10 with a complete windows xp theme like this I would definitely use it

Superb presentation, modernized and with smooth screen moves, we see clearly what is happening. Good to see the lovely little dog Rover searching things for us, always smiling ;-) No wonder that XP is still the preferred operating system Microsoft ever made.

Lovely! What I loved most about XP was the modding community and personalization, you really felt like you owned the OS not everyone understands that. Recent revisions just seemed redundant layered UI over the old and bloatware

This could be the first Windows I pay for.

I love what you did to Windows XP 2024 especially the dark mode. XP one of the few Os’s with little to no bloatware that ran extremely fast with a single core processor. Just amazing job you did!

I couldn't stop watching this! lol. I also sat here with a huge smile on my face with the happy memories of using XP for years. (Also Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows Millennium, and Windows 2000). XP wasn't amazing at the beginning until they sorted out tons of bugs, then it was great after that. Also had copies of Windows Whistler (XP Test releases) before XP come out. It was all pretty exciting back then. Ahhh.. the memories. lol

This video is a work of art. Man I miss those days! I still have the Photo Suite 4 installation disks that came with my new Windows XP computer. I loved that old program. It would run on Windows 7 but not great. Anyway, when I saw this video I actually got excited for a brief moment... I knew it was too good to be true. I gotta say though, dark theme looks amazing! Awesome work. Brings back memories. When I switched from Windows 98 to XP it was like stepping into the future. I miss XP so so much. It was such a good experience in terms of design and UI. WOW! ... If Microsoft were to release this version of Windows XP, it would be AWESOME! Windows XP was the BEST operating system EVER made! Ever since then, Microsoft has been trying to reinvent the wheel rather than just acknowledging the circle was perfectly round with Windows XP. Microsoft did the same thing with Xbox. Microsoft had everything perfect with Xbox 360. But afterwards, Microsoft ruined everything.

Very nice man. Love dark mode! If I was using it I'd turn off all the animations but the interface is very cool. I'm pretty sure if you took this to an interview with Microsoft they'd give you a job. 😁 Also, I have to say the way you make it look like you actually created the OS is very clever. It looks pretty new on new windows xp, interesting. If Microsoft created this it would be awesome and bring some people back in time on old windows xp and happy I wanted use this!

This is the Windows I wanna have: it is clean, it is simple, it is modern and gives this feeling of reliability. The only thing I miss is W11 StartMenu. The new one is easier to access and work with.

It's basically a fusion, if I can call it that, between windows 11 and the old Xp, that is, it's built on the chassis of windows 11, interesting, I like it, but I'm curious if it will only remain in the concept stage or if it will come out officially.

Quite nostalgic! Windows XP was/is such a great OS. Alongise Windows 7, they're the best OS'es I've ever used by Microsoft. Now, I'm on Windows 10 because new Laptops don't even install USB drivers for Windows 7 and I definitely 'downgraded' (Or should I say UPGRADED? 🤔) from the terrible Windows 11 to Windows 10. If i could I'd still be using Windows 7 though.

The concept is so damn sick dude. I love how it mixes the nostalgia of XP With modern elements that make it better. I imagined windows to do that i dont hate the current os but this gives me more of "my computer" vibe if you get what i mean. Amazing concept man.

And I hope Microsoft will sees this for making a new update for new upcoming Windows 12 (with some classic Windows stylized, like Windows Vista for 2006, Windows XP for 2001, and Windows 2000 for 1999, Windows 98 for 1998, and Windows 95 for 1995 for an new stylized update for 2024 this year... Yei boi!!)

Today I have Windows XP nostalgia. To this day I think it's the best looking operating systeem, macOS included. It always looked so fresh, clean and modern. And now you've given it a 2024 reboot! It looks stunning.

Man, I forgot how much I loved that setup music! The “Out of Box Experience”.

I wish this were real real. It's funny picking up on little Unix things along the way. Some things like the smooth animations make me feel like they shouldn't exist (I used to turn off all eye candy to get things running faster lol) but then I have to ask myself if they would exist in a modern version.

as a person who loved windows XP this here is a great concept, in fact some of the design actually was created for WXP but the integration and animations, and overall looks like mesh of windows 11 UI and and classic feel of WXP nice touch really. i really enjoyed the dark them at 7:25
