Great tool to have in your toolbox as a Auto Glass Installer. It was designed for the floating windshields like a VW Jetta and Passat, but I have used it on almost 90% of our installs. Like a Ford F250,Chevy 1500,Mercedez and Honda civics. The fiber wire you use with the WRD will usually last about 5-6 cut outs per line length of 4-5 feet long. A little time to setup the tool like a 5-6 minute time frame, but well worth it.
I have used this tool for over a year now. After the initial learning curve it has retired most of the usage of my other tools. This includes the Express, BTB, Heat Inductor, cold knives, etc. After twenty five years of grunting and having a bad back, carpal tunnel problems, golfer's and tennis elbows, it's clearly time to work smarter. Don't be a hack who looks for the quickest cutout times. Your body will pay dearly. When the Spider is used correctly, time is your friend
This is US$770 investment when you may only have to do this twice a year. Compared to a $10 investment a little effort. Your making out that working your body destroys it. It does, over working your body dose. Using a knife for 5 minutes is not going to cause you harm, that is just fact. And Dude, do you really think we don't know your affiliated and selling these things please....
I like this way! I remember last year me and my dad changed my backglass with no tools whatsoever... Took us a couple of hours hahaha But I'm glad I learned how to do it. Definitely gonna do it like this guy next time.

Hi Dave. Obviously you are doing something wrong, why don't you try contacting us instead positing your comment on the youtube. I am sure we can help you to guide through a correct setup and removal process. Looking forward to hearing from you ! Robert
my line keeps breaking almost every time sometimes two or three times on one removal any ideas ive watched lots of vids and read instructions many times and it appears I am using it properly tried different drill speeds nothing works. thanks
You need to pull almost parallel to the edge... from my experience. Not perpendicular or other odd angles, as it'll add stress to the edge of the glass.
+shlomi david Are you talking about coasting, like when you build up speed then roll in neutral or coasters for your cups so you don't leave a ring on the coffee table? Maybe the kind of coast like the beach? Oh I really hope you're talking about the coast, I love the beach!
good to C the glue can be cut with a Yr be straight pressure along a whole side. relying on the strength of the windsheild it’s self to hold the pulley in place mA often not be a safe optian w/broken windsheilds - but still, cutting with a line one straight side at a time, qUl✋😑
+WRD Glass Institute I cannot stand websites like yours. You click on the link and cannot find a price anywhere. You have to keep clicking....that means shenanigans to me....state it up front.
you could easily have this done in the same amount of time with a regular cutting tool. i bet this thing is ridiculously overpriced. Kevin, you are right about the WRD glass tools website, no prices listed anywhere. just a bunch of pretty pictures. stupid.
actULly, mAB I should feed Yrs through 2 corners at a time, click on2 opposed arms of a small jack, open jack 3 pull Yrs tighter(opposing ends), & repeat 3 more times. dangerS thO if Yr brakes, could B blinded or lose finger or watevr👋
Like most of tools what we can buy today. On the video works when I buy doesnt. Who did replace glass with hot wire he knows doesn`t go fast like that. Why did you erase Dave`s comment. I believe my comment? I believe my comment wouldn`t last long too.
