Nah they are just tourists. Not defending them entirely, they shouldn’t be messing with the Queen’s Guards but also they shouldn’t be arrested for that

Yes, they are military and yes they are trained infantrymen... and that is their regular duty, this is just a dog and pony show they rotate through. 🤷 To begin with, the military's job is not law enforcement, it's out of their jurisdiction.

She at least deserved an additional reprimand from one of the castle wardens or police, preferably from a cell in the police station - which is certainly what would happen if she tried that in Moscow or elsewhere.
As they say "Don't forget these people have the right to shoot you" Honestly if they did an analogue of that where I'm from they would get a fine for "looking like a potential security threat" or something of the sort...

She was fined by the Guard for being in a prohibited area afterwards. She knew damn well that she wasn’t allowed to be near, or even in his post, and was later gifted a £500 fine for it
Please! I’ve watched enough videos to see that there are tourists from many nations that do the same thing. I’ve even seen some who are British doing worse.
It never ceases to amaze me how some tourists behave around our Royal Guards. This is not Disney Land, these are active soldiers on duty and should be shown respect, they have a job to do and are not there to be ridiculed.
I think our military should STOP having the public within there guard area. These tourists have NO IDEA how disrespectful this behaviour is. The soldiers have a job in security. However, would these people like this behaviour if random people did this where they lived? I think NOT.
She knew exactly what she was doing and did that on purpose! She was already doing silly poses and just waiting for the guard to come back that way. She could’ve easily walked back over to where her friends were on the opposite side; but she purposely stepped backwards into the guard’s box and waited for him to get back there and react. Now had he yanked her butt out of the box and flung her back across the way, she would’ve felt mistreated (even though she was wrong and being disrespectful). But I’m sure it would’ve been a hell of a stress reliever for the guard and given him a good laugh to himself (and one to share with the others later); plus, it would’ve served her right!
Theses guards are there not as Laughing clowns or Actors, the tourist are disrespectful to these Guards, they are fully armed doing their job to Protect the Monarch.
Yes. They need to go to school for some etiquette and rules at/around the castle and all buildings associated with the royals protection used and why. She made an ass of herself. I’m sure we’ll see some of this mentality at the coronation of King Charles as well.
Many of those guards are for tourist attraction, and nothing more. Of course, they are highly trained professionals with lethal weapons, but what they're actually doing is just marching and yelling at people. For example, in this particular case, he had showing his back to people long enough to get took out by a simple stick, and then for his weapon to be taken by a potential terrorist. Imagine you got through some real action, e.g. in Afghanistan, just to work as some ridiculuous entertainment. If these people have no respect for themselves - why should they be respected by other people?
@@side2k They have plenty of respect for themselves, he is also not the only person there. It’s nearly impossible for a terrorist to be able to successfully carry out an attack in that area. And they should be respected by other people because if they want us to respect their culture then they shall do the same.

Have to say, I worked on restaurants on Windsor which did require a lot of patience with rude tourists at times...but these guys have another level of patience, for dealing with this kind of crap...
It is unbelievable that she thought her actions would be acceptable, such childish ignorant behaviour but let’s not put all Americans in the same ‘box’, I’m not American but I have been to America and stayed with and met some wonderful lovely people . There are idiots everywhere 😊
