Hi guys, The Canvas Tent shop are offering my viewers a 5% discount with the code 'KENTSURVIVAL' check em out. I hope you've enjoyed this video, one of the main reasons for getting the tent was to live off grid for a period.. I'd really like to know your thoughts if thats something you'd be interested in watching?
Great video.... very cosy set up. Loved some of the other videos you have done with log shelters...enjoying food seems to be a theme so that's great too. I have been living on a narrowboat for 6 months now, so I like my creature comforts but also its now become evident to me I have left house life behind me.
hi Andy! Because of this video we recently purchased a beautiful 16ft bell tent... the last big tent we bought ripped in the 20 mph "wind storm" we just had... it was not quality enough to last one day erected.... and it became unusable at the very least.. the bell tent you showed all of us looked so good it wasnt hard to know which way to turn from our disappointment.. ANDY.... if you are ever in the states pleeeeease come to Bend Oregon to camp in our bell tent for free! ... we would be thrilled to give you the high desert tour. we live right in the old growth juniper forest known to locals as the badlands... with one old soldier being at least 1600 years old. . we eagerly await your next videos! thank you for all the hard work you do to help us old peeps learn to love tent camping again. i watch your videos everyday. . hugs and lots of luv... Nate and Ruth from Bend Oregon
If the ship hit the fan and you needed to survive and you have all this stuff before hand. If you use it to survive, isn't it still surviving. There are many different survival situations. Not all of them have to be started out with only a pocket knife. Describe the meaning of survival. Kent Please keep up the good vids.
Catching up on some of your older videos. You've been doing this for years. I love your videos. You edit them so beautifully and your cooking has improved immensely over the years. Just bought a mug tonight so I can enjoy a spot of tea while watching!
I think is my favorite tent !!! The way put the bed woww!! And the stove . and oven, just amazing !! Thanks for your educational and great ideas for camping . Love that you show us different tents and camping equipment . Love your cooking ! I appreciate your good videos!!! 😊
Anyone else smell the sausage rolls? I was convinced I did, then remembered 😬 ... oops, I'd put a frozen curry pie 🥧 in my oven and nearly forgot about it. What a stunning tent ⛺ and magical stove. I'm sure you're not only a bushcrafter but also a chef. Enjoy!
I AM 'LOVING THIS SETUP, TOO!' Fine to see the stove company introduce a stainless companion to the black ones. Beyond that, the stove is well-suited to the volume of that welcoming Bell Tent. White lets so much light in and it reflects light as well. It is great to have OWEN along: he is personable and, perhaps, you are a bit like me: company makes for a more comfortable camp. Many of us like to share our experiences with friends and 'more than one' makes for a feeling of security, as well. The 'detail' about scraping out the ash and the clear sense of how large the oven is helps so much!
Wow Andy, you're glamping!! I love it! You deserve to be able to go in when you are done setting up camp and take your shoes off and be comfortable, we love it,more, more please!
Great tent! White tents are the best as they let in the maximum amount of light. Great stove! And that's a trial by fire with gale force winds. I'd say that is a very sturdy tent! Glad you packed up. Rain in the mix of that would have been miserable. I was REALLY impressed with how well that Cornish game hen cooked up. It was literally falling off the bone. Amazing oven. And for camping. (Okay - glamping.) Thanks.
You have the 4-m tent just like I do. Except your stove jack is on the other side of the tent. When I'm loading in the main pole, I pull the cap of the tent as close as I can to the opening so I don't have to climb in it I just put the top of the pole in it and then push straight in. Works for me. I thought you might want the tip.
Now that is a setup Andy mate. Holy crap, looked like a castle in there with the lights and stove. I was watching you eat your fry up as I was tucking into my breakfast of B & E lol. Brilliant.
Steven Bird yes, simon would be great to have at the same camp (along with owen!) maybe try reaching out to other 'tubers who do this kind of thing? like wiltshire man, funky prepper etc 😊
Came across your channel and watched this video . Wow.. what a set up? Massive tent , great stove and cozy dinner. Want to go on such trip... now iam gonna watch all your videos..
Go visit Simon, and have him buzz 1/3 of that first pipe off with his band saw. As long as the pipe is still the length of your arm from elbow to knuckles, you can put any water pot that you would take with you, under the oven. And turn the damper key to the back side of the chimney pipe, so you don't have to reach over the fireplace to adjust it. Just some quick tips from me. Do as you wish! ATB Kent Survival. Oh yeah, on your tension ropes, pull the wood adjusters all the way out by the pegs, before you stake them in place. This gives you the most possible adjustment, and the biggest area to hold your tent down. As always have fun
I was looking at it and thinking but id be concerned about the amount of heat hitting the bottom of the oven.. it got quite red when the fire was at its hottest.. may speak to winner well and see what their thoughts are, im sure they test stuff a lot :)
I always wondered how well the in-line oven on those stoves worked. It looks like they do very well! Nice job, Andy. You made it look super easy with those pastries and chicken.
That look so simple and easy to set up.. look very cozy and warm plus I liked that it was all closed and no bugs can go inside and you cooking on that oven made it look so easy ....thank you so much can't wait for next video 😊 ... hope it will be the same tent
You alright ? Top notch content mate, like honestly me family including wee niece (4yo) watched your videos as well. Lots of love and positive vibes for you, your family and friends. Would’ve tried to camp when in Lancashire for studies but there’s always next time. Anyways have a nice one and protect yourself for corona.
If you fed the fire box with the right woods you could easily add a smoker box to that set-up and make it epic! . Imagine a rack of ribs smoked at 275 for a 6 hours with hickory.
I'm about to live in a 5m Avalon bell tent. Not for a week, like for a year or more... I'm very excited and equally terrified. Hope I learn enough I don't freeze when the winter comes to Taos.
Looking at one of those stoves……first time i have seen the double view…..very nice! Love the bell ten…..so much room! Thank you for sharing….your videos are always informative and uplifting!
Thanks much for the video. I've been considering a tent setup like this (Bell canvas tent/Winnerwell stove). You've shown what its really going to be like. Loved the cooking bit too.
Andy thank you for sharing this video of your new tent and store and new table great views from the open of the tent take care Andy see you on the next video 👍
