Ok, all the haters and those who "know better". Unless you train in that style how can you "know better"? The philosophy behind this type of fighting is what makes the difference. Speed, accuracy, power. In wing chun you react with speed to block, counter and strike with precise accuracy and power not swinging and hope you hit. I've been fortunate to have learned a little of this and how to use it in a real fight along with other things I've learned along the way that includes boxing and judo. Watch carefully, his hands, position of feet, shoulder direction, as in how he keeps that center line controlled while blocking and striking. Although, a continued explanation is gonna be a book long, find a reliable teacher and then add to what you already know, instead of just hating.
You need to wake up. Reed the kuen kits. There are NO blocking. And the attacks are what drivers the offence wich create the defence. You got it all upside down.
Sifu didier has been the best of all so far as i have searched and seen the videos in youtube. I dont know what language speak but i wish i were there to be his student because my passion towards learning wing chun is one peak😢
Michael Wallace you are obviously just another one of those wing chun fans..😂😂 Say what you want about your precious wing chun, i don't care😂😂 I believe nothing from that martial art😂😂 As like i said, IT'S NOT ALL THAT EFFECTIVE..😂😂
The only things that proven to work is mma or boxing/kick boxing , jujitsu , wrestling, karate. See these tournaments all the time. Thai Chi wing chun kungfu aikido all glorified and over exaggerated swollen ego fighting styles. Good for movies and fantasy fighting.
@@douglasferris4596 you don't get that wing chun is not made for competition, it is not made to be used in a ring with boxing gloves with rules from another sport. It is with no rules and it is made for self defense to surprise your agressor and run when you can
Oui.
You slide the entire purpose is to keep in the pocket and protect the center line. It works against boxers and other Karate people however against grappler it us difficult. I do prefer Karate because it uh s easier to take angles with
I like the rythm of the style. Not useful in most fights but a perfectly placed strike when the opponent is off balance would sit anyone down. (For the most part) 😀
I feel like the concepts of wing chun are more suitable for self defence scenarios rather than organised fight situations like MMA, boxing etc, even though MMA, boxing and jiu jitsu can be applied in both and are much easier to apply, hence why they are more favoured.
I don't know if the ones talking trash knows a thing about wing Chun, but wing Chun was created by a woman and the art is designed for the practitioner to use on an opponent either their size or smaller.
It is a dangerous idea to have that you can intercept punches. It is simply impossible to block any punches due to speed and unpredictability. Just watch any boxing match will convince enough.
Peter KHOO 👍👍 That's why wing chun isn't all that effective in a real fight.. But some people would disagree😂😂 geez.. you guys are watching IP man too much😂😂
This video makes sense to me: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rxl5ukLDICM.html. Trapping exists in real fights, but it's fast and simple. Best is to look at those wing chun movements as drills to learn to see punches coming and develop fast and intuitive responses. Developing technique, just like how they do drills in boxing. But if you mistake those drills for how a fight plays out, you're gonna be in for a unpleasant surprise. Also they say not to go looking for a trap in a fight, but that it will come in the right moment if you've trained it enough. I believe pressure testing through sparring is required to develop realistic self-defense. Plus, learning to 'weather the storm' to be able to hold your own in a real fight. Like Mike Tyson says, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. Boxer George Foreman held out his hands to block off incoming punches. You'd think that would leave you more vulnerable to hooks but he used it very effectively. Of course in that scenario the big boxing gloves cover a lot of space.
Doryphore ! 😜 Ah oui au faite j'en viens de la rue.... Et je te la laisse bien !!! 🤣🤣
I think the goal of this is not fighting, it's more a choregraphy like dancing it help stay in good physical condition but it's not made for reel fighting
I've been doing a mixture of karate thai-boxing Jiu-Jitsu in wing Chun for over 30 years. 10 years with official JKD.kali school. There's a thing called the laboratory. And it seems with wing Chun. The laboratory is important to use different martial questions ... And wing chun answers...we found you might be in the middle of a trap or some chain punches and all the sudden you're on your back from a Jiu-Jitsu move... You have very fast hands hopefully this will help you out.
