This is the lowest wind I can ride in now... Between 6 and 8 knots. Takes work to get on foil and stay on foil.
My weight: ~95kg
Gong HIPE Cruzader 7'11
Gong Fluid XXL-T front wing, Fluid XL stab
Gong SuperPower 2023 7,5m

Not as "windsurfing" style forward-back, but more up-down, up-down

@@Alex_Kuzmin this is the technique I developed for me and it works for me in 6..8 knots, I think that is quite OK. ;) It has two stages. Pumping the wing in union with the board. Push Board up while pulling the wing back: 1st it is long, slow diagonal scooping movements, from far-away front, pull closed/back, push out to far-back, move to far-front and start over after the foil starts to lift (~10..12 kmh) I only need to build more speed, that works best with just far-close, no scooping. Getting faster and faster with speed up to ~18kmh. 3rd phase does not involve the wing any more, wing static in perfect angle, turn a little upwind and just slow pumping on the board. This technique needs high pressure in the wing, ~6PSI. It will not work with very low pressure ~4,5PSI that Gong suggests. I think the SuperPower is no fun at all at low pressure.
