I didn't see a shore break to conquer in this video it was just an easy paddle out next time please show the paddle out in challenging conditions and what to do with the wing.

Was gonna say, that didn't look intimidating, looks like a easy launch.

@@Stanton_High there are definetly more "hardcore situations" though already transitioning from riding in a flat lake spot to a place with ocean swell, reef breaks, shore breaks can be intimidating.

We will wait for a larger swell day to film some other methods which can be assisted crossings in more extreme conditions!

I'll leave my board upside down in waist or shallower depths and push it forward from the fuse when coming in and out. Way easier than carrying and you can actually control it better if not too dumpy

@@jonnpow it does workout with manageable conditions though can be dangerous as board can fly into you if you don't hold it right!

Nice but no way would I attempt to attach the leash in chop, my friends pinkie went through the leash loop board twisted and pop, end of the finger gone. 😢

I think not attaching the board leach is a BAD idea... if you let go the board the foil will either get damaged on the shore or worse..injure someone playing on the shore. Moreover you will find yourself floating without a board and no chance to try again to get back out. If there is current you will get dragged and your wing will also get damaged in the impact zone. Solution: have a telephone cord leach which will extend and prevent the board to spring back in your face. Have fun everyone and keep everyone safe.

Agreed that there are various potential scenarios each with a more “ideal” solution. This is why it is important to do an assessment before you go out of best ways to achieve X, Y, Z goal. Great feedback and one that everyone should read.

@@charlesosterlund7303 exactly! I also recommend attaching the wing leach to the waist and not the wrist so you can paddle out, surf style, if needed. Waves at my spot by the North Sea are way bigger and conditions gnarlier than the video shows. Be safe. Have fun!

A few good tips there thanks. If you do another one on this topic you need to cover trickier environments. Where I foil it’s quite rocky in places and depending on the the tide there can be a gully you can suddenly drop into and if that coincides with a wave it can get nasty quickly. Also I wouldn’t just let my board float in on its own when there’s a rocky bottom waiting to eat my beautiful foil.
@IntlWingfoil
@IntlWingfoil 3 месяца назад
Yep! You are 100% right that it would be great to cover various different conditions. In winter time here in Cabarete we will have more swell where we can show trickier situations with larger shore breaks both going in and out... Both alone and assisted entry/exit.
