Wow! Cool software. I used to operate a ‘step4’ cnc Hotwire cutter at a model aircraft factory. Very primitive at the time but good. Still had to do the shark40 wings by hand though due to being elliptical. 😂🤣😂🤣
Its 0.25mm Nichrome wire at ≈1.3A. And yes, its very noisy. However as it only runs supervised and for short times the A4988 are just fine. Its a budget project after all.
Hello! i tried the software and it works pretty well! I tried a clark y airfoil yesterday and everything worked out! But then when i try to load in a MH61 airfoil it just says failure to load. I've tried reinstalling the dat file too. Do you know the problem? thanks, anton
You can try opening the dat file with a text editor and check if there is text in the file. Sometimes the airfoil name is included in the dat file and can mess witht the import. If thats the case you can just delete those rows from the file and save.
You can check the dat file using a text editor, sometimes the files contain a title that messes up the import. Deleting it so that the dat only contains the coordinates helps. Also make sure you arent missing values anywere in the program. ( forgetting to put numbers in settings for example)
@@dodo3441 dat i found the problem. I opened note. Some dat files have 0.0000000 0.0000000 information in the first line, they give an error. The error disappeared when I deleted the first line. thanks for your efforts
@@henkrook4980 Sorry I thought I had already replied but apparently not. Glad to see you figured it out! For others having that Problem: The error means that the maximum travel in the gcode is higher than the maximum travel that you have entered for the machine. This can be caused by many factors, what can help: - reduce x shift - reduce x clearance - for strong taper: Reduce the distance between the portals (& wirelenght setting)
there is a little box you can check in wing config that says single wing. It will let you configure the left wing and then save gcodes for left and right.
