Congratulations to the lucky winner🎉🎊🎉 Your daughter did an awesome job on the sign👍🏻 creativity runs in your family. You already know the love the granny squares and excited to see your new cardigan. Button holes are pretty simple, there are many videos on “crochet button hole” on RU-vid.

Hi Ann…..Cardigans don’t always have buttons if you don’t want to put them on. But you just chain 2 or 3 (depending on button size) instead of going into those stitches…..and when you come back around you just stitch into those chains which will reinforce the button hole. Hope this helps! Omgosh the gift from your daughter is absolutely beautiful…..what a cherished gift!! 😊💜 Glad y’all had a wonderful Christmas and had family time! Button holes are so easy. Depends on the size of the buttons but you just skip say two stitches and chain 2. Then make one or 2 more passes with s/c. I bet there are a lot of videos on it as it is hard to explain.

Make button holes by making a plackett on their side and on one side, chain a few stitches commensurate with the size of the button (usually about 3) and skip that many stitches, crochet normally, then repeat for each button. Make the plackette (or is it spelled plaquette) plain on the other side and sew the buttons on.

Hi Ann! Congratulations to the winner!!!🎉 Beautiful yarns! Button bands are needed for both the hole and the button. For the hole you slip stitch a stitch or amount needed for button. Since yarn stretches don't go too big. I am sure there are tutorials somewhere. Take good care!😊
