@@asandax6 It all just comes down to experience doesn't it? If you put in the same time and commitment to competitive programming you'd be likely be able to as well.
Learn first how to solve a problem. Speed comes by itself. More I recommend keyboard shorcuts and code optimization. Writing FOR "slow" is better than writing fast for (int i; i < n; i ++)
I first found out about competitive programming through your "What is Competitive Programming" video and i have been really interested since! I've been studying hard and it was really nice to "see" you on the Round G leaderboard yesterday - kinda like being in the same room type of "see". By the time I was done with the first question you had already finished all four hahaha. Only managed to solve 2 out of four, so i have a long way to go! Hope to represent my uni at ICPC eventually!
Participated as well, first time in a likewise event. Had difficulties with the 2nd question and ran out of time on the third one. 6046/6730 still got a lot to learn but I liked the challenge! Love your videos btw!
In 2020 Google Kickstart, you got 3 wins, and 1 runner up. You won in Round A, C and G. And you came second in E. Great job! Best of luck for Google Kickstart 2021!
I solved a b and partial c in 20min then saw the leaderboard and i was like " wtf is wrong with william and errichto here i am struggling with c and they finished in 20 min"
Congratulations on winning IOI 🔥🎉 and Kickstart Round G too🎉🔥 Looking forward to videos about your IOI Journey too🤩 You're Really Great! Keep it up 👍✌️
Him: "reroute the OC3 optical line vertical index formulation of indices trigonal planar then combine it with octahedral monomers amino acid ph 8 and this is 1% of the problem completed" Me: yes
Mate, I feel like I watch your videos for the wrong reasons. Don't get me wrong. You're incredibly clever. Your coding skill, problem solving abilities and your ability to come up with solutions so fast is mind blowing. However, I absolutely love the sound of your keyboard and no homo but your voice is relaxing as fuck. The combination of the keyboard you talking gives me serious ASMR tingles.
Congratulations william. You were incredibly fast.Just curious;why is your syntax different from normal C++ syntax ?like you use read instead of cin and upper case FOR for a loop etc.
@@theveteran4170 that is mainly due to a bad education system which does not impart good knowledge. Our education system can only produce average people
The last time i remember "programming" i did that " hello word " thing and i dont even remember how to do it anymore and then i come here and this guy looks like snowden
Damn, you're really good. 👍 I'm the same age as you and the furthest that I've gotten was round 2 of my country's computing olympiad which consisted of 3 rounds. I haven't done any programming in a while since I have to focus on my A Level.
I feel like a tree log that's being expected to understand and study humans. I don't exactly understand what's going on but it's fascinating for some reason.
small request bro william.....we want you to start the classes for the sake of the coding......it will help us a lot.....do on specific topics and then try to solve the problems based on the topics....so that we can also learn them
yeah like nick said, competitive programmers have templates in place in order to start solving problems immediately, rather than setting stuff up every time.
*HELP* I know basics of python (taught at school) but now I'm skipping it and starting with a new language. I'm confused between c and c++, can you help me which one to start with and approx how much time would it take to complete basics and enter competitive. Thanks
Hi William, I like the way you solve problems , I am stuck in between of a problem need your help , Problem : Given an array of n length and we have to find two contiguous subsequence of the array i.e., A and B also A and B should be of same length ,such that we will get the max sum and max sum will be calculated by multiplying 1st element of A with last element of B and 2nd element of A with second last element of B and so on . at last we have to sum up the products .. we have to find max sum. Sample : 1 9 2 3 0 6 7 8 subsequence of size 3 A : 9 2 3 B : 6 7 8 (9*8)+(2*7)+(3*6) This is the max sum
I know this is kinda weird asking, but what do you use to code? Is it a software or app? Or an extension in a website? Also, I’m really trying to learn how to code and I need help
I imagine this guy during a tech interview. Probably it'd go like this. Interviewer: please take your time to read everything carefully, ask questions for clarification, think out loud, take into consideration the edge cases, if you get stucked don't worry we can help you, you have 1 hour so please start now.... this guy 30 seconds later, it's done
