@@JGMGamer07 yep, the striking unfortunately is a little janky. I only use gsp or silva in that game bc of their lunging lead jab it's overpowered and no other characters have it
I think Jon Jones is the GOAT, But, Prime Anderson Silva will always be my favorite. He got me into the sport and his title reign was something special. Especially in real time. He did things we had never seen before and during the height of his reign, it really felt like he was never going to lose!

The ai on that mode and the game in general was so adaptive😮💨.And THQ managed to do it all while staying within the fighters skillset/moveset. Game was 👩🍳 💋
I got this game running on my pc through Xenia and it runs like a dream! The only thing that's a little funky is created fighters which isn't the biggest deal. I honestly consider this game to be a piece of art, so so good
The animations, dynamic gameplay, presentation. An MMA game that was built with care and realism in mind. Not the shit EA puts out and tries to pass it off as real.
Man I was just playing the event mode last night. Set up 8 wars like Penn vs Condit, Diaz vs Edgar, Hunt vs Nelson, Silva Vs GSP, Aldo vs Mendes, and a few more but it was a great time. WOuld love to see you just play the game end enjoy it with a bunch of sick matchups lined up that let you really showcase each characters unique animations. Also please include a Shogun fight he's my favorite character in the game because of his unique ground and pound and strikes.
25:50 That made me remember Wanderley Silva talking about his most traumatic fight, he says he chose Leben to be an easy fight, "I didn't enter the octagon to fight, I entered to beat him easily". He ended up losing and even today it hurts him to have lost to Leben and by knockout.
I love your commentary as well but I also like when you focus on the game because we get to see where your best creativity stems from. You naturally fight better too, so keep that in mind when you play UFC4 and get rocked unnecessarily. Much love

Ea could remake this with an updated striking system on the feet but keep on the grappling mechanics and everything else, especially gnp, and it would be perfect.
Bro the animations are so much better here. Like it looks more like a video game, very snappy and fast, but the characters actually use proper footwork and hold realistic stances. I couldn't believe how bad UFC4 botched Sean Stricklands animations, it doesn't even remotely move like him. Meanwhile all these characters animate so life-like.
