The reason the PS2 and PS3 d pads don't work is bc when call of duty came out there was no streaks until cod 4 on the PS3 that actually featured streams so that's why the d pad didnt function for the 2 and 3 ❤️thx for the heart hydro ❤️

the reason the dpad on the og playstation controller acts like a joystick is because originally there were no joysticks on the playstation controller and they were added on later with the dualshock so the dpad was the main method of movement on ps1 games
