I always thought of the Hillbilly Attack as a bad Exchange Caro-Kann. It appears that I was mistaken; this Hillbilly Gambit, as we might call it, looks like a lot of fun.

I love the Hillbilly, made popular by GingerGM Simon Williams. Like the Haldane Qh5 against the French, once the White Queen is menacing, even if you know the best line it is still very tricky. Would love to see you do another update on the Two Knights Theory against the Caro Kann. Thanks so much for these great lectures Miodrag!

I heard about this with GM Simon Williams ! but my favorite against Caro Kahn are the "caveman attack" for example 1.e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 Bf5 4. h4 h5 5. Bg5!? 5... Qb6 6. Bd3!? Bxd3 7. Qxd3 Qxb2? 8.e6 !I

I made a checkmate with hillbilly attack. I call it the naked king checkmate, where white queen is on f7, white knight is on e6 and white's bishop is on g5 giving checkmate. This is... Well, fried liver.

at 11:58 (and also once before that in the same position after Qf3)...whatever he does...there is Checkmate with qxf7#. There is absolutely nowhere to go and nothing able to block that!!!

I play this line many times. In tournaments as well. The plan for white is easy. In your 4.. e6 line you recommended 11 Qe5 but what happens with the obvious black reply of 11..Bd6 attacking the queen?

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial hey mio, the caveman is a fun line in the advance caro. 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 Bf5 4. h4 h5 5. Bg5!? the idea is to sack the b2 pawn and a1 rook after Qb6 in order to get the e6 pawn push and trap the queen on a1

23:40 the bishop's move immediately to h6 looks more accurate than castling, again due to the possibility of black himself playing h6 without giving us a bishop for the subsequent exchange
