The episode where he takes furguson from daisy is a massive turning point in his character and I absolutely love it. He gets so silly after getting a cat
Stealing Ferguson from his cheating girlfriend turned him into such a weirdo. His whole progression from that moment on was hysterical. But perfect for the character and for Lamorne as an actor. I miss Winston being ‘in my life’ way more than I ever missed Ron Swanson.
@Caleb Mayfield Nothing, really. Just the only other TV character I’ve missed like they were a real person in my life. But I miss Winston more. Ron may have been funny and endearing, but Winston was like this endlessly weird totally real character who developed in a very real and oddly relatable way. Winston’s hilarious increasingly absurd improvising to keep the communal seats at that restaurant cuz he wants to spend time with his friends who all have relationships, his awkwardly accidental consumption of a marble he thought was a mint when talking to the hostess - those are such genuine (and genuinely funny) human moments. Ron Swanson is funny with his woodworking, meat-loving, government-hating ‘manliness’, and I love the character as I do April and Andy etc. But they’re one-dimensional lovable whereas Winston is unpredictably, embarrassingly, weirdly but realistically lovable. I genuinely miss having that in my life. That’s all I meant.
I feel like winstons character development is the best example of how side characters became main characters and even outshined the main plots most of them. In season 5 without Jess THEY CARRIED THE SHOW like nobodies business
Well we all love bishop but I kinda prefer Nick. Don't go throwing the word "every" without precautions kiddo (don't know why I am saying kiddo, just felt like it)
@@hellozukohere6514 well there's a difference between favourite and best !! my favourite character is nick, but if we're being honest, winston is the best character hands down. NO FAULTS. just loves his cat.
Sounds like that moment from modern family when Phil had kidney stones and the firemen said: Firemen: how are you feeling? Claire (his wife): oh I’m fine Phil: HE WAS ASKING MEEEEEEE
@@doodoo5594 it just makes him even more of a cat dad cause so many of them start out not wanting the cat or hating it but then it becomes their baby and they would do anything for them 😂😭 Winston is a cat dad through and through
“Shawty what thang do” is my favorite pick up line I got from Winston in this show cause if they get the reference they get my time but majority of the time they just look at me crazy lol
“And just so we’re clear, the first thank you was sarcastic because you embarrassed me, but the second thank you was sincere as hell because these flowers are GLORIOUS!”
as if the show needed to be saved in the first place, it's one of the best comedy in 21st century, the whole cast are awesome. heck, they can even make Megan fox funny. (but yeah, Winston is number one on my list)
@@jayjust9780 lol....the only annoying Character was Jess, but somehow the writing of the Show was so good, i could forgive the annoying decisions she made throughout the show (but she's still a good character in my head, because atleast i Know where she was coming from, apart from the few times when the Karen virus seems to have got the best of her) watched the whole show 5 times now. All three guys were the best thing about the show....... especially their delievery of lines.
My favourite part of the colorblind bit is how it retroactively explains his seemingly out of character love of Wicked: he genuinely thinks that the Witch is black. She's the only black person in Oz and treated like shit by everybody
Winston is, hands down, the best character on New Girl. His cat obsession, his the subtle and underappreciated humor, his adorable sweetness. Everything about him is perfection.
Where is that scene where he wears the robe after taking shower and sings the song about him being clean. I have replayed that scene so many times. 😂😂😂
The writing in New Girl is unparalleled. An absolute zinger of a joke is immediately followed up with an absolute zinger of an entirely separate joke that was set up at the same time as the setup for the first zinger of a joke. It's never just one thing, there's so much to laugh at. The only comparable sitcom is Community.
You must be trippin' balls or just don't watch a lot of shows! And as I live and breathe! You kidding me, Prank Sinatra?? There are a shit-ton of funny shows you _just_ haven't seen yet!
“SHaWty WhAt THat THanG Do?!” “PUt ThaT HeAT AWaY BisHoP!” “wHAt CoLOr IS thAt CoucH GonnA BE??” “I’ll bring the succulents.” “Ah I have a Sesame Street problem” “WiNSton ANd FurGEson BOut To SPliT SomE PaStAAaA~~” “FUNK THAT.”
i sure love me some winnie the bish but i hate how his friends treat him. they always forget his birthdays and important events of his life and ditch him SOOO MANY times when Jess or Nick have a basic problem. he's never taken seriously and i get that he's the comic relief, but it is starting to seem like he's just a clown with no depth. idk if you get what i mean but in my personal opinion, although he's hilarious, they did him pretty dirty
i'm so glad someone said this, cause i was legit heartbroken in the episode it was his birthday and everyone forgot.......... i'm not even kidding i happened to watch that episode on my birthday last week and i just cried LOL. but no forreal, i hate how they treat him, and he's always such a good friend to everyone and he's always there for them
There is some truth to this.....cause I remember when my homie brown lightning was trying to become a cop and they all showed how they didn't believe he could do it.
@@eklecticskeptic fam I got so mad when my boy Courtroom Brown was coming up with his James Wonder identity & Jess said “If you could pretend to be someone else, you would’ve done it a long time ago” or something like that & I was like wtf Winnie The Bish da f***** goat
My favorite joke in the show is about him being colorblind. “Winston, if you think those shoes are brown, what color do you think you are” and then his face 😂
omg one of my fave yet underrated moments was in season 3 when Schmidt coach and Winston all had girls over and he comes out of them room and goes “I am Frank Scobopolis” 😭
Winston’s character development + haircut change made him hot asf i hated his first few seasons haircuts, season 7 Winston is daddy asf, with that beard that connects whew🥵😌
“And just so we’re clear, the first thank you was sarcastic because you embarrassed me, but the second thank you was sincere as hell because these flowers are GLORIOUS!” proving that winston is actually winnie the bish
