slow and low is good, fast speakers can distort and not allow clear communication. with low and slow its even easier to destroy the argument. fast talkers might have to explain and repeat
I think he was trying to say that calling someone's ambitions a joke is an opinion one is entitled to, whereas saying someone is drunk in parliament is an accusatory statement that would require factual evidence to prove
The company my sister works for has had regular dealings with Simon Bridges & she has met him on more than one occasion, she told me he's one of the nicest guys she's ever met.
He was the only politician in the whole of Parliament who knew how dangerous the gangs are and had a plan to do something about it... that's why he was rolled by the nationals , thay feared for them selves and their families if thay went to the election with that in there platform of policies..he was a honest politician , which is rear these days and for the 🤡 Peter's to ridicule the way he talks is beneath contempt...she was Fortunate to have meet him!!.😔💕🇳🇿🇺🇦
Winston Peters has declared Taiwan as a country. When queries came from NewZealand's Chinese ambassador here, our Deputy prime minister told her to obey her master
Why is it we get breathalysed if we drive a car but a drunk can make nation affecting decisions? I say breath test all MPs before going into the debating chamber.
Simon missed a trick at 1:18 when Winston was saying how National's views would not result in them getting back at the next election. What he should have said is "Well I suppose if we want to get back at the next election, we should work on impressing you, because ultimately that's where our election decisions are made".
Every so often you do find accents like Simon Bridges in the New Zealand-born population, but I don't think it is representative of the general Kiwi accent overall. You do get good-natured Americans trying to take the piss out of the Kiwi accent and they sound like Simon Bridges. Ironic really!
Eph 6:12 `For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places`. National`s policies cater to their elitist mates & by their rotten fruit we know whom they serve & it ain`t the Saviour.
@@Yolo-jm3ts Mat 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?..48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.."
Yes it is. Tell you what though, if Winston has employed those two muppets from the brexit party in England to "advise" his campaign, Ill be really disappointed. They are criminals, and liars and have stuffed the UK with their fear mongering and xenophobic bull. Hope not. Hey are your people from Northland?
Every New Zealander who reads this comment. Vote Labour. NZ First and Māori Party. Because Simon Bridgets is unfit to serve as Prime Minister and also he has a speech impediment.
Poor Soymin. He really should work on not sounding like a whining teenager. Also, Brownlee walking a fine line there if he's accusing someone of being drunk. You need evidence for that, buddy. I know we're not perfect, but these people are making life changing choices for our country. Be nice if they took that seriously
I’m not from New Zealand. Can someone explain to me why everyone in the comments is praising the older guy, when from my outsider’s perspective, he appeared to be the childish one?
To be fair, Simon Bridges accent is the kind more associated with the sound of a youth prison inmate. He was a Crown Prosecutor too. If I was the defendant with him prosecuting, i would be placed back in the cells for laughing at the mugs accent and mocking it constantly.
Apparently Bridges used to be a crown prosecutor, & as leader of the opposition he still speaks the same way as he did as a prosecutor...many say he needs to lighten up & act more like a normal person to appeal to the masses.
he needs to do better standing up to a dismissed party member who probably did not ally with them after the 2017 election because they did not like his treasury moves.
Winston has ALWAYS been available to the highest bidder throughout his entire failed career in politics. Never a winner , just another opportunist who will fight for whichever side can afford his demands of the day in order to give that side the extra seat to win the day. NZ is so unlucky to have these hasbeens always hanging around in the wings to grab the opportunity to pick the bones clean . The time has come to return to the days of first past the post , only that can rid us of all these cannibals who can only achieve their fame by forcing one side or the other to succumb to this fools demands
I'm not partisan but despite his Oxbridge education Simon Bridges has the reasoning skills of an angry 8 year old (seen from the press conference from the Jami saga) and just comes across so unappealing has the most punchable face. If they get rid of Simon, Simeon, Judith and Paula (thankfully Jami is already out) and just revamp National with more progressive politians then National will seem more human and appealing again tbh.
Nope...they just fine like they be...on the outside pushing turd up hill to get back in...aaaahhhh ain't pay backs a Paula Bennett huh? Power to the People👊✊🤙👍🤣🤣🤣
What ambitious NZers care for becoming a miner? Surely we want to work at Tesla, Google, Xero or a smart tech company.

See thats the thing, we all need all sorts of different people doing all sorts of jobs to make society tick. I need my bin men more than I need a smart tech company, and carers who will look after people, and shop assistants and cleaners and bus drivers. There needs to be a living wage for all.
Cuzzy/Bro Winston has trouble getting his words out, it appears his tongue is too big for his mouth. NZ, which is verging on third world status is lucky to have Australia just a hop, step and a jump away where expats can earn good money and send food parcels home to help their loved ones live a half decent life.
Love how Winitana tipped the balance of power toward the left, and left the right virtually gripping itself...don't ya think that was cool. Oooh positively gave me goose bumps that did...Power to the People.👊✊🤙👍
Here they are, mocking accents of their fellow countrymen, while the real embarrassment is they are both Maori looking with both 1st and last name being white man names!
