Winter bass fishing at Rust de Winter 

In today’s episode, the Iron River Boys go to Rust De Winter after a cold front to catch some winter bass!
Dexter and Marnus reveal their top-secret winter fishing tips, techniques, and bait that led to incredible success at Rust De Winter!
Dexter and Marnus braved the chilly winter weather at Rust De Winter Dam. After the cold front hit, they expected the bass fishing to be slow and tough during this winter bass fishing season.
Once Dexter and Marnus were on the water, they soon realized the day at Rust De Winter was going to be better than they expected.
Dexter and Marnus were throwing the Berkley Maxscent 5-inch General early in the morning and pulling the bass out of their winter hiding spots. Rigging it weightless Texas was getting the job done on isolated structures.
Making a short move to a steep rocky bank, Dexter pulled out the Berkley Stunner 112+1 and had his first bass on the end of his line.
Winter bass will stick to rocky banks due to the rocky structure keeping warm during those winter months. The Berkley Stunner 112+1 is a deeper diving jerkbait, and this was getting deeper to where those winter bass were hiding.
Rust De Winter is known for its heavy vegetation, but it also has some rocky banks where you can throw some bottom contact baits like the Neko Rig and the Ned Rig.
The Neko Rig is a great finesse presentation to use during the cold winter days. The rocky banks at Rust De Winter were holding many bass, and they couldn’t resist the smaller Berkley Maxscent Hit Worm.
Another great finesse presentation that works well on rocky banks is the Ned Rig. Marnus was getting the bass in the boat with the Maxscent Lil General.
As the day progressed at Rust De Winter, the day warmed up, and the Berkley Stunner was back in action, pulling bass from their winter homes and getting them in the boat for a great day of bass fishing.
