December bass fishing can be tough but rewarding! In this video I went out to one of my favorite ponds to see if I could catch some big winter bass. Fish have been eating crankbaits lately so I know that I will be able to catch a few. The bass are chasing bait this time of year in anticipation of the cold winter ahead. Many tactics work in December, but you have to find out what the best lure is day by day. Hopefully my winter bass fishing tips can help you catch some more fish! Thanks for the support! I’m just trying to go have a good time fishing and help some people pick up some tricks and maybe laugh at my misfortune! I feel like my videos are pretty relatable to a lot of pond fishermen

Only thing working for me the last couple of weeks have been the ned rig. Not .y favorite way but sure effevtive. Ive lost a few wacky worms while sitting on that bench myself. But its sure a comfortable way to fish. Enjoyed the video.

I haven’t been a big ned rig guy since I moved to Fort Worth. It was one of my favorites when I lived in New Braunfels. I think that the drop shot will be making an appearance this week. Thanks for the support Scott!

You ever fish the general area around the alliance airport? I go on work trips around there and have been scoping the area.

Yeah this spot is < 10 minutes from it. There’s some other decent spots around there too.

what function does the strange bill on that crankbait provide!?

It is supposed to give it action like a squarebill crankbait, but also allow the lure to come through weeds easier. Personally I think it does that really well. It has been my favorite crankbait for shallow ponds this year

Flouro sinks and braid floats

The flouro sinks so the crank runs a little bit better. Flouro is also less visible, so it gives me an edge when I’m fishing these heavily pressure ponds.
