Always enjoy seeing your plash palatka shelter setups! Looks like you guys had an awesome time. BTW that's an East German gas mask bag! It's a late one from the UTV system.
Leen Visser thanks Leen! I thought so, on the gas mask, from the interior. I removed the divider to make it an open bag. been digging it. Simple, light and packable.
Corporal corner sent me and I am super glad he did. I subbed and hit the bell, because you are really different than others on you tube. Finally, some fresh new content from a really down to earth dude. Cheers
EPIC ADVENTURE GUYS!! This was really perfect. Your energy with each other is so adorable. Thanks for sharing.. Jesse have you ever seen Megawoodswalker he loved the m65 jacket liner, he worn his for years tattered burnt melted all messed up, that was my favourite channel and he sadly just passed. Your mega shelter was bad ass bro btw really impressive, I just got a tent protector to run my stove in my polish Lavvu 😁🔥⛺
Clearly Canadian Thanks Jake! Appreciate it brother! It was a lot of fun for the majority of the trip... We ran into another BF. I think I saw it on way in, thought if was a black tree across river on the way in first night, 8’ tall, 5’ wide. Saw it, my mind said tree, and then walked back to do a double take it was gone. It came up to our tent and slapped it the second night. Rush growled at it, but didn’t go out after it. Put out this vibe that we felt before hearing it. Creepy AF I have seen some of mega woodswalker’s videos over the years. Sorry to hear he passed. Seemed like a nice guy. Very cool on the stove protector!
@@EnduranceRoom nice man super erie yes there's that strange feeling when you "know" something isnt quite right. Ive been reading allot of skunkape stories and people have said they must have that sixth sense or the ability to read our minds. Always a step ahead I think they like fish/frogs from all of the sightings near healthy bodies of water;) I do like the idea of a "offering" I feel mostly they are peaceful with their size and strength they could be devastating. Yeah that sux about Kevin mww he was a great dude and a library of information, and he was from my stomping grounds here in CT. Since he passed i joined the Buschcraft usa forum as he was huge for that community. Thanks again bud I'm super stoked about all my hot tent setups it would be real cool to do a group outing with our kiddos and hot tents or even in warmer weather. My womens about to pop any day😁 shes due April10th not sure were gonna make it there.
Seriously, you two mesh so well together. And yall's dog is beautiful! Got a question. My own partner wants to do this stuff but her only issue is the hardness of the ground. Any suggestions on a really comfy mat? I use a self inflating one but I fear that may even be a bit hard for her.
Thank you! We got super lucky. Thats great to hear you two are looking to enjoy nature. For sleeping pads, something with a high R value is going to be good. (rest) I really like my KLYMIT sleeping pad. It is insulated and inflatable, so it can be rolled up pretty small for transport. Now that winter is here, I often use the KLYMIT pad combined with a second roll up foam mat.
@@mariastevens6406 The foam pads seem to run about 1/2” or so. The Klymit pad is listed as 3.5” klymit.com/products/insulated-static-v-luxe-sl-camping-sleeping-pad?variant=31722980540506
@@EnduranceRoom Ya, I've read great things abthat pad. Seeing as that's purely inflatable, how do those kinds of pads fare in colder weather? Would the air in it getting cold cause it to shrink over the course of the night? I've only got experience with foam ones.
@@mariastevens6406 I haven’t had any problems with mine. It holds air well. I think it has mylar inside the pad to help reflect body heat. I would definitely buy it again if anything were to happen to it.
Hey amigo, any ideas on the bent trees? I don’t want to go all tinfoil hat on ya but that’s pretty weird stuff and I’ve heard of that tree bending thing before and it’s from a certain community.
Yes, 100%. We have had many experiences out in the woods. This particular trip, I saw a huge black “tree trunk” about 8’ tall and 4’ wide as we were walking in. Thats what it registered as in my head for a couple seconds, and then I stopped and did a double take and it was gone. We setup camp, had dinner and turned in. All the sudden both of our hearts started racing. It had walked up behind our shelter and was putting out this menacing fear vibe for a few minutes, before walking away. This wasn’t the first time we had experienced this. The next day we hiked, moved camps and started to notice a LOT of weirdness. There were sooooo many trees bent over in arches, forming these tunnels. Noticed a couple game trails that were really wide and deep. We started to get a heavy feeling and headed back to camp, at which point I found another of those trails right beside our spot. The same thing happened, except this time it let us hear it walk in. It put out the pressure fear vibe, and then left after about an hour. At this point, I have lost count how many times we have had stuff like this happen. Not all negative like this. Checkout Howtohunt.1000s of stories from all over. That channel was a huge help for me, keeping me out in the woods. Its quite the thing to process, especially as we are taught it isn’t real.
@@EnduranceRoom Thats some epic stuff man. I follow that channel too and I’m glad it hasn’t kept you out of the woods. Those are some pretty definitive clues, especially the actual sighting. That fear vibe must be an unnerving thing to experience. Thank you for sharing all of that info.
Hi. Really digging your channel. Where are you getting your plash palatkas? You get them locally or do you have an online source you like? Thanks in advance
boom shanka they do break somewhat, but this hide is quite old, also. I think a lot of it can be improved by pickling the hide prior to tanning to set the fur.
Looks like a great couple of days. Nice dance Katherine :) My winter outings are a bit different. Check out my recent videos if you want. I always enjoy your videos. Take care. Paul
Hunt Shack Wilderness Experience thanks again, Paul! Your area is quite a bit different indeed. We used to get so much more snow back in PA. We were below the Great Lakes, so there was quite a lot of snowfall in some areas there. But then again, we rarely ever needed goggles to keep our eyes from freezing!! cheers Jess and Katherine
Regarding those trees, I would highly recommend you check out the Author Graham MacSkimming and you will find a very interesting book on the subject. :-) He is a good friend of mine and has experiences to share that you might be interested in.
