WINTER CAMPING - Two Nights - Snow and Heavy Rain 

I don’t know what it is about watching you doing these camps that fascinates me so much. The scenery, the cooking, the weather, the sounds, your commentary, the set up, watching you build the wood pile and then the fire, how the extreme weather makes you happy, and I really love those birds and your never ending battle to stop them pinching your food. Plus the added extra, I did not know they make that cute chucking noise! Love your work.

Thanks for another awesome camp Abel. I do like the extended 2 night camps and I also wouldn't mind seeing another hot tent camp again. But whichever you choose mate, I'll be watching. Regards to Victoria and hope the pregnancy is going well.

Geesh these videos don’t hit America till 3 days later. I read the comments, and folks have posted on this days ago. I always look forward to your outings. They are absolutely rustically superb. Much more interesting than summer camps, the soothing sounds of rain or snow on the tarp/tent. You surely challenge yourself taking and no risks. Chopping wood is so calming, at one with mother nature, giving much needed warmth. Dunking bikkies in tea is a must 👌

I'm looking at the Wickers showing interest in your food and thinking, you may need to hang it from a tree like we did in Alaska / Canada to keep it away from the bears! it's nice to see a 2 day camp, although I'm sure Victoria is missing you. I hope she is doing well in her pregnancy. It won't be long before you'll be holding that little baby in your arms. New Zealand is just gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your bit of the world with us.

It is 30 Degrees Celsius in NYC. It is just wonderful to see you in snow and cold conditions. I loved the bacon sandwiches, hmmm.

Great viewing again Abel! As an idea for future videos, how about a vlog on how you prepare for your adventures, what safety gear you take along, that is, do you for example have a Garmin Inreach strapped to you in case of an emergency and to let your loved ones know you are okay. What phone signal do you have when up on the mountain? What first aid kit and do you have an emergency supplies in case of a major problem. I know you will have this covered as you are very experienced but it would be great to share your expertise. Also, do you have a spare set of dry, clean clothes ready to change into when you return to the wagon? I have had pneumonia 3 times due to not looking after myself in these conditions and would hate to think you should suffer the same fate.😢😮❤

Fantastic camp Abel, stoked the weather was stirling. I was thinking, I haven't seen you in a big set up type camp. The one we'll deserved after a cluster of wild camps in the diabolical elements. Go remote, get a table and light a fire pit and wet the whistle mate. Those are my thoughts after you asking what we reckon for a next trip. What your next adventure is, we will love mate. Joel.

Try adding a couple of slices of jalapeño cheese to each. I love it. It's adds a nice creamy bite to it. Can't wait to see Victoria back in a video.

hi Abel, I think an item that would be great in your arsenal of many supplies would be a Zippo lighter. that style doesn't have to be that brand.

you look more organized. nice camp 🏕 i used to use a saw to cut wood. getting older now. hands feet dont work good. my best tool is a Sawzall cuts fast. i got a huge pile of wood like you cut i keep putting off. it was a natural fence 🏡 project.. now its a home for snakes lizzards armadillo.. 🐉 lol

im watching this in wales,uk, in the peak of summer, and had the heating on at home for an hour, its been a crap summer so far, such a wet start to the year.

I may be old school. With a roaring campfire that's where you cook your hot dogs. Not on a stove. You certainly can do as you please.

There’s a thunderstorm here and I have to make sure the thunder I’m hearing is here and not on camera where you are. I looked up that EL Nemo and it’s a nice one. If i camped like you, I’d probably invest but I’m just an every now and then camper, so no need to drop that kind of paper.

Your winter down there has been a bit like our summer in Scotland this year... You've had more rain than snow, and we've had more rain than sun. Now that the sun is getting lower in the sky, hopefully you'll be seeing some sunny weather soon. I do like your winter camping adventures though, and I always enjoy your videos. Thanks Abel.

Hi it's been awhile i still try to come through and show love ,keep the videos coming they are so fun to watch.

maybe try cutting a stick to help hold the tarp up where you develop low spots during heavy rains. use a rag or bottle to make the tarp end less likely to rip the tarp. love me a good storm camp.

Two nights is good, gives you time to get settled and relaxed. Six hot dogs were epic, I wanted one really bad! A great camp, excellent editing , well done.
