Just to clear things up, Farlows rules are indeed barbed or micro barbed only. Unfortunately, we got it wrong in this instance and have apologised to the fine people at Farlows Lake for the mistake. We hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless.

Apologies if I heard you both wrong but the rule is barbed or micro barbed hooks only so you would only have had to get rid of the lead core. I only know as most waters round here are barbless so I had to buy some barbed hooks to fish it. Great video and nice to see what someone who knows what they are doing can catch even in the winter. Unfortunately I am not in the same league, or even remotely close, but I enjoy what I do do and that is what it is all about.

Beautiful fishery just terribly run by Charlie the Balife. Never hand over any moneys until your in your swim as Charlie has a habit of moving you off your swim for his mates. Shocking form. Our group would never fish again nor recommend this fishery.
