Insane heat wave during late February causes the bass to go on the move for food. Plus, I couldn't miss a great opportunity to get out on the water. Sure glad I did to get on some of the early bites of the year.

Hi Zack! I've been waiting to see a video from you, hoping conditions were right out there in IN for fishing... I am happy to see you were out catching river smallies! I'm doing something really similar with the swimbaits here in PA and having fun when I can. I like the old rail bridge in the background... so, so similar to our Susquehanna. I have one of those about 1.5 miles from my house so it looks like home.

Hey Christian, thanks for being patient. Glad to see you're doing well in the Ole' Sus. I think the conditions are becoming more favorable and the rivers are leveling out. Swimbaits have been doing alright. The main bait I see this time of year are shiners and the Keitechs mimic them pretty well. I've scouted several spots and there's just something about an old train bridge in a big slow-flowing river that all the bass migrate to during the cold season. I'm about 10 miles from this bridge but it's worth it.
