Winter Hiking at Round Bald on Roan Mountain

Join me as I hike the Appalachian Trail and visit Round Bald off of Carver's Gap. Some of the greatest mountain views in all of the Appalachian Mountains. Unfortunately those views also come with some technical issues.

Wow! Your images of Round Bald are some of the BEST out there of these balds! Love seeing them in the winter! Most winter videos are from March, so nice to see them in early winter, maybe why the snow is more powdery. What day/month was this? Thanks!! Super stoked to visit!!

Thanks! This was early December 2019. Crazy thing was it hadn't snowed for about a week up on Roan, so all the snow you see was from about a week prior.

Your videos and commentary are outstanding; you’re very charismatic as well; the choice of music on your videos not so much; annoying at times, takes away from the beautiful scenery .

@@SuperNovaRoxy any place in VA is going to be about 2 hours from Roan. But if you're up in VA you should check out Grayson Highlands state park. It's amazing. If you're into biking the VA Creeper Trail (section between Damascus and Whitetop) is a must do as well.
