It's cold. But Central Park is still awesome. Check out all my Central Park guides (including a few free ones!) in our travel shop: shop.thatch.co/@perfectlittle...
Here are 10 reasons that you should go play in Central Park - even if the temperature drops below freezing.

Here are my top 10 reasons to go to Central Park in the winter (with time stamps from the video):
0:17 - Reason #1: Skating at Wollman Rink. And Lasker Rink. Did you know you can play hockey in Central Park? Check out the hockey schedule here: www.laskerrink.com/
1:15 - Reason #2: Sledding. From Pilgrim Hill on the east side to 100th St on the west, I show you all the best hills to go sledding on in Central Park.
1:48 - Reason #3: Warm up in Visitor Centers. I show you three (of the 4 - there's one in the Belvedere Castle, too) visitor centers: the Dairy, the Chess and Checkers House, and the Dana Discovery Center.
2:34 - Reason #4: Play a New Game: The Chess and Checkers House not only has a ton of info about the Park, but it also has a ton of games you may have never played. They're all for free and it's nice and warm in there.
3:11 - Reason #5: Go to the Central Park Zoo. Many of the exhibits are inside, so you can stay warm. It's a LOT less busy than in the summer, and the winter animals are a lot more playful when it's cold.
3:41 - Reason #6: Find some Peace and Quiet in the Ramble. It's so serene in this winter wonderland! Just you and a bunch of beautiful, red cardinals.
4:13 - Reason #7: Go to the MET. If you go after the holiday break, the MET is a lot less busy than any other time of year, so you can take your time and enjoy the art (while you warm up).
4:39 - Reason #8: Play with Friends on the Great Lawn. Football, snowball fights, build a snowman, go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. The Great Lawn is big enough to fit everyone.
5:38 - Reason #9: Waterfalls and Wintry Landscapes in the North Woods. Wander along the Loch for beautiful scenery and take in a side of New York that few people ever see.
6:38 - Reason #10: Rent a Discovery Kit for FREE. Leave your ID as collateral and they'll give you a backpack full of great stuff to help you explore and learn more about Central Park. You can rent a Discovery Kit from the Dana Discovery Center OR the Chess and Checkers House.
