Appreciate your stuff ! (especially sprint cars) , Feel vids like this would be better with the virtual mirror showing as we can't see whats happening behind you with the in car rear view mirror.
I was in that race. I finished dead last after t-boning a knucklehead who was parked sideways in the middle of a blind corner on lap one. If I'd have been given the chance to qualify, maybe things would have gone differently. Unfortunately, I had to reconfigure my controls and calibrate my wheel for the billionth time. Then, I had to set my controls back to normal, as much as I could anyway. Funny how everything suspiciously goes to shit at the worst possible time. I used to think my luck just sucked. But now I'm starting to think there's some kind of elaborate conspiracy and everybody's in on it. Everyone except for maybe my dog. He's cool... or is he?... Shhhh. The leaves are whispering to me again. I have to go put more Spaghetti-O's in my underpants again. Bye now. Good luck in your next race. Watch out for crazies.
No, but it is used technique to control over run, apart from laying off the throttle. You ride a bit of brake to keep the rpm up and slow down a tiny bit. That's the only time anyone is ever holding the throttle flat and using brakes to modulate speed.
@@safechameleon7656 sure, im almost 4k there ;) But looking into doing a track series for a change and was looking at some of the fast drivers. There are instances on some tighter corners where I feel they trailbrake rather than feather throttle. Thats how it seems to me. Then I noticed that subtle change here. Naturally it will depend on many things but it was just a little difference I felt I noticed with certain lines.
Ah I get you trail braking is very important on road racing. You can use a combination to balance the angle of the car around the corner. Sorry, I got what you meant wrong.
