Winter jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum) is an ornamental shrub that blooms in February-March. In warm winter conditions, winter jasmine, as it is often called, begins to open buds in December. Flowering in this case lasts from December to April, interrupted by periods when there are frosts. The peak of flowering of jasminum nudiflorum in the southern regions falls on March, in the regions to the north - in April. The plant can be grown without shelter from the 6th climatic zone (-23C). This jasmine sheds its leaves but overwinters with young green shoots, giving the impression of a winter green plant.
This shrub grows long (more than a meter) shoots, they are thin, flexible, they can be lifted onto a support, tied up and shaped jasmine vertically. It can also be grown as a groundcover or as a regular shrub. Winter jasmine looks very beautiful on retaining walls or on elevations, from where its ampelous shoots hang down.
In the video, I will show my jasmine in different periods of the year. It has been growing in my garden for 7 years. I will share my experience of growing this shrub.
