Winter JERKBAIT Fishing (When is it the RIGHT Time?) ❄️ - Catching bass in the winter time on a jerkbait is one of my favorite ways to catch them. Although, the conditions don't always call for one. I talk a little bit about what I look for in the winter to increase my chances when jerkbait fishing. Thanks for riding along!

💥It's definitely a great video to show if you have a livescope (ffs), you're going to catch a whole heck of a lot more fish!

My favorite winter technique. From December thru Early March My advice is this. The colder the water, the more you need to SLOW DOWN. 90% of my strikes occur while deadsticking suspending ripbait in between rips, sometimes 8 to 10 second pauses or longer. The rod will simply just " load up". I Catch my biggest bass when water temp is coldest... 44°- 52°. I have noticed most anglers don't have the patience for this. They fish too fast. The cadence changes by the day, sometimes by the hour. Let the fish tell you how they want it, mix it up. Once bit you can really start dialing in the cadence. Hope this helps.

Off subject, but what stuff are you wearing. It looks warm and mobile and light. I'm having trouble finding something like that, seems like I have stuff that's just one of those. For example, my warm stuff is super bulky. I want to be able to go out in all elements without looking like the kid from Christmas Story

I was wondering the same. When seen the Lurenet FX in paint shop I almost pulled trigger....then ran to my dock pulled out my only two old rogues....remembered why I stopped fishing them....cast worse than potato chips. Tried my GLoomis rod and my valley hill jdm biwa jerkbait rod on diawa zillion. And a Shimano metanium mgl .

Is that the 5.5 pro rouge? You like that size better because it shows up more for livescope or has a different action than the 4.5?

Would love to give that jerk bait a try. Any other place you know where I could get some or will they be back in stock anytime? Not finding any but the rattling rouge. Always good content and the jerk bait bite is the best 👍 Get a lot of it in PA
